This morning at work i walked up on a co-worker who was looking under my mower,i asked him what was up and immediately felt like this had happened before. He said he was looking for the gas tank and i started to get chills i backed up a bit and asked why. He said because the two times he's put gas in it, it looked like it was going into a deep tank but obviously it wasnt by the look of it,then i said with him "it's shallow and it looks like its in two parts". This seriously freeked me out because i knew he was going to say that,i walked away from him and the rest of the day was normal but i had the feeling that if i stayed there more deja-vu shit would happen. Anyone else ever been freeked out by something like this, cuz ive had deja-vu momemts but never felt freeked out by them and its still wierds me out 5 hours later

Everyone has had deja vu, or remembered dreaming something as it is happening in real life. No one has ever actually predicted the future in this manner, because is it just a powerful trick of the memory.

I've ignored you until now because your whole bit is so painfully unfunny at this point that its not even worth a comment. But by this point you're just coming off as a Class A prick. Bring something new to the table lest I have to start shadowing your every post with retarded and played, unfunny comments, douche.

It's just a peculiarity in the way your brain routes information. The sensation can be reproduced by electrical stimulation to the brain. There's nothing supernatural about it.

Exactly. A quick google search will explain what deja vu actually is exactly a quick google search will explain... Oh shit.

Easy old man, I didn't mean for it to be a hack post; this is my honest interpretation of deja vu. I have experienced feelings very similar to what you described, but I have formulated the opinion that the mind is tricked into thinking that it has already thought something as it is happening, but what is really happening is that the perception of present time is moving slower than the speed at which the brain is writing it's short-term memory, resulting in the perception that it has experienced something before it actually happened. As far as why it happens? Fuck if I know. I guess I think it's pretty likely that it's just a weird side-effect of one of the many mysterious processes of the brain.

i wasnt saying yours was a hack post(that was the picture copiers) but maybe we are going thru our lives again in an effort to get it right so we can move on to the next level if we get it right this time which makes me think how many people have gotten it right and had their positive energy move to the next level and how many levels are there and how many times do we get to go thru them? and what level is this?

I remember hearing that it is not really a duplicate event that you are experiencing again, but rather just a feeling that washes over you. The feeling is caused by another triggering event that initiated the feeling. Its happened to me many times and I could swear its as you say, and if someone had me in a lie detector at that moment, I would pass a test with flying colors that I had, indeed, experienced that event before.

Here's one that really does me head in: Deja vu in your dreams.

I dream about a place and in my dream it feels like I've been there before. I can't stand not knowing whether I dreamt a deja vu experience, or whether I've actually dreamt about that same place earlier in my life.
