I'm not sad. But a lot of times at night I have terrible panic attacks and I have to do something to take my mind off of it. Usually that consists of a handful of benadryl (not really a handful; more like five or six) and doing a word search puzzle or reading something.

What do you do when your mood tanks?

Do something, anything. Work, housework, yard work go work out. Just do something to keep my mind at least possibly occupied so I do not fixate on the sadness.

Unfortunately for me I tend to eat when I am sad or anxious.

I am overweight but I am amazed I am not heavier.

I try to do something active. I am not saying that people who use anti-depressants are bad, I just tend to feel more balanced after brisk exercise.

i volunteer down at the humane society,its impossible to be sad when dogs get excited to see you. when my dog died i was there every day for about a week,now i only volunteer about once a month

Ya I been doing that lately rather than hitting the chemical route. Definitely a better way to spend money thats for sure. New air max 2010's and new HTC evo as soon as sprint gets them in stock...

Oh and started running to help fight stress, pretty relaxing once you start to actually enjoy it.
