Radio seems like such a cold, cruel business. I mean, I can kind of get why, if you're going to fire someone, you want them off the air as soon as possible, but it just seems really brutal

She's alive and well and in NYC for a few days. Yes, she has been dropped from the Wease show in favor of some Conservative shill from the bowels of the rural southern tier. Apparently Wease had surgery and they put this racist motherfucker on in a "guest host" space. Official word is that her contract was not renewed. The fuckers fired her right on webcam too, before the show ended, which, in my estimation, is the height of douchebaggery. A quick glance of The Brother Wease Show's Facebook page shows the listeners' discontent. One thing you can say about the rubes here is that at least some of them know a quality radio personality when they hear one. Lilly will be VERY missed here but she's hot and talented and she'll land on her feet. In the meantime, we are left with cows and rednecks once again. I'll be listening to R&F. Don't hold it against Ron. After everything he did and saw in Vietnam, it was just a matter of time before something happened and he snapped, and having a loudmouthed fishhead in the office was literally a ticking timebomb. Literally.

20 Year Wease Fan reluctantly moving back over to CMF hear. Between the decision to bring Lonsberry in to sub for Wease while he's recovering, plus now dropping Lilly from the show (who was a fresh voice to an aging and outdated Wease - and I'm even Wease's age!), is too much of a test of my loyalty.

Time for me to close the book on the Wease show and go back to Wease's competition (and ex-home).

Good luck to Wease and best wishes for a speedy recovery but these two recent decisions make me say good bye after 20 years of loyal listening.
