Sometimes it's one and other days it's five.
I'm on:
monster
careerbulder
mediabistro
linkedin
indeed

jobcircle
A lot of jobs get cross-posted on multiple sites. I've also gone to agencies. I had an interview last week. "My" immediate supervisor said I had all the qualifications and they are looking to fill a few spots. She said she was confident I'd get a job. I NEVER take that kind of talk to heart. Still sending out resumes.
I've also applied to retail places.
September 6th is my two-month anniversary of being unemployed.
What else can I do? Any words of advice?

All I can say is, just apply to what you can. Don't worry about Unemployment busting your balls about your list of people you applied to. They're so fucking deep in shit right now they couldn't check that shit even if they wanted to.
But of course you want to get back to work so you can start earning and saving again, unemployment fucking blows. You can't do anything on unemployment. Your entire life is just stick on hold until you're off it.
Sounds like you're perusing all the avenues open to you. Just try to keep somewhat optimistic and keep looking.

Stay on top of your recruiters because sometimes they get lost in the number of clients they have.
If you've already applied to a job on one site there's really no need to apply to it on another.
There are some sites I check out sometimes here in CT & NY named after the counties ( Fairfieldcountyjobs.com, Westchestercountyjobs.com, etc ... ) and they list the jobs by city so it's easy to narrow down where you'd wanna work.
They may have them for NJ as well.

as silly as it might sound, try craigslist. don't look for some set number to apply to, just apply to anything that applies/appeals to you. is there any jobs site catering to specifically your field/industry (like hcareers for hospitality jobs)?

Put that fuzzy butt of yours to good use...if you catch my drift.
I have to ask, What do you mean by 'should?' Based off of whose standards?
Are you trying to do as little as possible to look for a job while on unemployment?
Are you struggling to find the socially perfect number of resume submissions per day?
Do you apply for jobs you aren't qualified for to pad the application count?
