I was on Itunes today trying to find something else to put on my Ipod. After downloading Bill Burr's podcast, it hit me, why aren't the "Unmasked" shows on there. I would pay to get them. Especially the videos of them.
Also, I miss Crazed.

They had "preview" videos on itunes for a while, but not sure why they're not there anymore.

I never really did understand why they didn't do anything with all of that video. And why XM/Sirius doesn't offer a way to get Unmasked audio is beyond comprehension.

I saw 5 minute clips somewhere and they were good. I would pay for the hour videos.

The problem with this, is that it would make good business sense to offer it to you. That's just not part of their business plan.

So does Sirius own "Unmasked". Does Ron own any of it?

From what I gather, Sirius owns it. And I think it goes beyond that. The show isn't really a 202 show, and Ron wasn't even the first host. They did one episode with Sonny Fox as host. They are allowed to post "Ron Bennington Interviews", which is a 202 product, but they aren't allowed to post Unmasked.

Doesn't make sense. He's done 40 of these, so obviously they're happy with his work.
You just made me think of another question; Ron says "...I have two radio shows". Doesn't he have three with "Ron and Fez", "Unmasked" and "RBI"
Thanks

RBI is almost completely excerpts from the Ron & Fez show. Some of the interviews were done outside of the show, but for the most part, it's not really a different show. For the record... The "I've got two radio shows" line came from when they were on XM during the day, and Free FM at night.

I can't imagine the videos could generate enough money to justify their production, but I don't see why posting the audio somewhere would be a huge deal.
It might be a case where the releases the guests sign don't allow for secondary sale.

Thanks for the insight Papa.
Good point Stan.
I have one last question; does O & A have that many more followers than Ron & Fez?
I started enjoying 202 because of O & A, but I laugh harder at Ron & Fez now.

I listen to both shows all week, and love them both. Let's hope that Seerious does the Right thing and resigns them!! :annoyed:

Went to see today's Unmasked. It was very cool. Ron, as always, was just the most gracious and down to earth guy. Fezzie was rushing around making sure everything was in place.
Great interview. Ron and Reggie Watts just chatted. We got to watch. Very normal. Reggie just made some amazing songs up on his iPod. In the middle of the interview, Jessie Jackson does the poopie dance out in the hallway.
Later, we're all milling around and out from one of the booths pops Tom Jones. Pretty cool. Tom fucking Jones. His handlers moved him off to the elevators.
Like he does, Ron stayed the fuck out of the way but poked around just enough to get the vibe and the story from Mr. Watts. All in all, a great afternoon. Thanks boys.

Nothing could generate less revenue than what those videos are doing right now.

Just listened to the Patton Oswalt Unmasked. It was brilliant obviously, loved when he took a shot at Kinison. And when he corrected Ronny B about the movie it was priceless. Someone was laughing like a goon the whole time, it sounded like right into a mic. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was Zito.

I don't know who's responsible for all the great guests on Unmasked lately but whoever it is, they are tearing it up! Really looking forward to Dick Cavett and hopefully Ron can keep Kevin Smith away from his stock answers and stories.
