Franzen's last book was also chosen for her book club, but he started beef with Oprah when he made a statement about the book club sticker alienating the male audience he most wanted to reach, and in retaliation she cancelled his appearance and further discussion of the book on her show.

I'm glad you posted that. It was really an interesting read. I agree with what Ron said about being duped on the internet a very common occurrence but I don't think it often transfers over to real life in that degree.
