I was on YouTube and I ran across East Side Dave's conversation with Sam on Special Delivery about his departure from the show, and Opie's rant about ESD being underpaid.
Since Dave left the show, I have not listened to the R&F show. I cancelled my audible.com subscription to the show as well.
I did, to give the show the benefit of the doubt, listen to R&F shows in June, but that was enough to say, "It's over Johnny."
I can't speak to the quality of the show these days, but I can say that I'm disgusted that:
1. I had believed this was a radio stunt, and I was wrong
2. XM/Sirius listeners, and fans of the show, and audible subscribers didn't protest or boycott.
3. Dave has been relegated to 8 am, 30 minute chunks of time on Brookdale Public Radio.
Does anyone feel the same way?
Well this hasn't been discussed before

I was hoping this was going to be about Dave finally getting some pigment treatments.

I will say I miss hearing Dave and wish he was still on the show, I guess I'm a homer and by saying that The Ron & Fez show is still one of the best things on radio.
Ron does a really good job with the misfits he has to work with.
Hicks and Rustin have become some real fun radio and Fez might be on the DL for a while I'm sure Ron will keep on doing everything that he can do entertain us homers.
I wish people on the radio talked more about the business of radio.

Nope. I'm one of the people who stopped listening to the show because Dave was on it. I'll give you the same line I was fed when I gave up, The show evolves if you can't keep up, oh well.
You can find plenty of people eating their own shit and acting like a frat boy other places.

I enjoyed Dave when he was on the show, I don't listen as much as I used to anymore but it seems like Dave has moved on, I think people should do the same.

Just a technical question, if you boycotted Sirius because Dave wasn't given his raise and quit the show, which must mean you cancel your subscription and stop listening to the whole platform, how would you ever know that they caved in to your pressure and hired Dave at the salary he was asking for?
And aren't you really just boycotting audible.com?

Shhh....your not allowed to talk bad about Dave's family even though he brought it up on the show all the time.

Ill continue to listen as long as Ron is doing the show, but its not even half as good as when Dave was there. I dont care what anyone says, when he left ALOT of energy left the show as well.

Yea well I love the R & F show, but without Dave...not NEARLY as much.

Oh, great... now this threat is going to get locked.
You can't say things about Dave unless they are non-critical.
Hurry. Post something mean about Fez to balance out your kharma.

Dave was a "load bearing wall" for the show. Just his laugh cracks me up. Energy and sense of humor. I can't believe XM let him go! To me, they were falling apart for the first month after he left. They are recovering now that the other guys are stepping up.
I don't have patience anymore for Fez. But he makes me appreciate Ron more because he still seems to support him. I don't hate Fez or anything, I just go make coffee when he starts getting advice from people that he will later ignore.
Ron can carry the show anyway. I just hope they still leave the door open for Dave to come back if XM ever come to their senses.

Ron can only carry the show when he has someone to talk to. Sometimes Pepper chimes in but usually is answers are short and not really a back and forth conversation. Since Dave left the biggest help Ron has gotten has been from Rustin. That kid turned out to be a godsend.
