I dont think Ron was being ironic when he said maybe Facebook wasn't on a lot of screens, it opened on almost 3k.

Compared to 4k+ for the usual wide release, he was somewhat right.

Still don't understand Jersey Shore. I went to the doctor's office here on Staten Island and there were a few guido's in the waiting room. I couldn't be more annoyed at hearing their conversation. I can't imagine the appeal of it at all.

Yeah, but that's not what he was saying. He said that it was sold out for a 4:30 screening. Which is possible if

a) It's in NY
b) There are fewer screens showing it than a true "wide" release

My wife is a BC survivor and we were at the Denver/Dallas game last year when this was started, I believe it had to do with the wife of one of the owners or the commissioner. Though an impressive half time show, even my wife thought it was a bit over the top.

You could be like the Belgians and use mayo.

Ketchup hate is pure snobbery, because you can make your own ketchup with any flavor variations and any quality of ingrediants, but these ingredient purists never say 'commercial ketchup is terrible, you should make your own.' they just say ketchup is only for terrible food.

It's a sauce like anything else, I'll bet nearly everything Ron eats in a fancy restaurant comes with a sauce on it and he doesn't stand up and say "How dare you, I want to taste this food!" Even a steak probably has some butter thrown on top, guess what that is?

It's a matter of good sauce versus bad sauce. Not only that, it's a matter of what the chef is trying to make, versus what you're going to eat. If you're in a good sushi place, you don't add any soy sauce or any wasabi, because the sushi chef has created a finished product that doesn't need enhancement. Same with good burger and fries - it needs nothing else. If you add ketchup, you are masking poor food quality with a low-quality sauce. And yes, almost every restaurant food has sauce in it, there is even a cook who specializes in them - a saucier.

My point is that if you hate the taste of ketchup, no problem with that. But if you hate ketchup because commercial ketchup is sugary and you feel its over used, you're a snob. Because you can get or make good ketchup, and there has to be a food somewhere that ketchup perfectly compliments, otherwise noone would've ever made ketchup, its an old sauce. As a matter of fact anyone who wants to tell someone else how they should enjoy food is being a snob. I also do not put ketchup on a good steak and order them medium rare, but I really couldn't give a shit what anyone else wants to do with their steak. Trying to make other people adhere to your tastes, or pretending that your tastes are objective fact, is completely snobish.

I dont believe a chef serving you a burger that he intends you to eat as a finished product would serve you a dry burger. It wont have heinz on it, but its going to have something on there.

Yeah, I agree with that. But I think the implication of "ketchup" is Heinz ketchup, with a dozen unpronounceable ingredients, not a fru-fru fresh-made tomato sauce with heirloom tomatoes, a dozen fresh spices, some extra-virgin olive oil sieved through the first-growth pubic hair of Greek virgins with the care of Franciscan monks.
