I know it sounds stupid, but for one break a day, one hour or so, they should have Fez dress up as "Fez." He always does his best work when he is in character. If he would have something physical that would anchor the character for him, he might be able to maintain it for a while. Not the whole three hours, but for an hour, then leave the studio. Build back up his confidence and get used to doing the character of Fez again.

The self-contained comedy bits are basically Fezitorials from the so-called good old days of the Ron and Fez show. If you don't like them, I understand. I never really understood why the pre-written bits disappeared from the XM show after a while.

They had the Earth2 thing.
They had the "Things to hate about (insert city name here)" bit.
They they had Fezatorials.

Then, suddenly, the pre-recorded bits were gone.

Fez wants, and has always wanted to, talk about celebrity gossip.

Fez deserves a lion's share of the blame for his lackluster performance on-the-air. I'll agree with you on that point. The point of this thread is about Fez’s "Self-contained Bits." Personally, I like them. They follow the same format as the old previous pre-written bits/rants he did in the past. As I said before, Fez likes celebrity gossip and has discussed these topics before, Ron has been the one who stifled Whatley every time he introduced topics like that during the on air discussions.

Apparently, Fez has been a virgin for his entire life and a man with a semi-open secret for only a few years. Suddenly, now, people take him to task over the hypocrisy of what he says and suddenly, post-heart attack, he has become hyper sensitive to criticism. After listening to Robin Williams tell Marc Maron about his pre-and-post-heart attack hypersensitivity, I think Fez needs time to figure out his medicine and pace, but the show (the listeners, Dave, Chris and Ron), as of now, doesn't meet him halfway.

That's pretty funny, other people were being childish? If anything, you led that parade and it was quite a sad affair to be honest. I'm a few weeks behind in the show - so I'm just now coming across the Fez's SCBs (Self-Contained Bits). I found myself cracking up a few times at some lines as he goes. Also, when he takes notes he can explore another angle and come in with it.

So im happy to see Fez getting some material in - Go Fez! I did notice that it might be the dynamic of being in studio - and maybe getting anxious about what to say, etc. I still don't see why Ron has to make Fez justify a joke/make him exlpain it. That never works, it takes the funny away, just roll!

Oh and maybe I'm ramblin' a bit at this point but, for the record im SICK of hearing Local Yokel-LadyTrucker-How does cum taste type calls. You callers are hacks bringing up the SAME SHIT (lettuce wraps, etc.) and are boring.. ha! :devil2:
