Not getting a flu shot at work? Soft kill weapon?

They are handing out flu shots at work today and there is a behind the scenes counter culture of people not getting them, even some of the people running the corporate program refuse to get them.

One dude has been going around talking about how flu shots are a soft kill weapon by the new world order for population reduction. I just got them thumbs up from a dude who asked if I got one was happy I didn't. Other people who do get them are saying those of us who aren't are crazy.

So who gets them and who doesn't? I don't just because I don't want shots I don't need, but other people here are avoiding them because they claim they are deadly.

Yeah my immune system is healthy enough to fight off most strains of the flu, but why take my chances.

Plus, it's really inconvienent and annoying to be one of those people who must wash their hands every other minute.

Coincidence or whatever but my allergies are about 75% better year round and I haven't had the flu or a even moderately severe cold since.

Exactly. I dopnt get flu shots because Im an adult man with a healthy immune system. I like to let it work by itself instead of becoming dependant on a shot every year. But it has nothing to do with a conspiracy, I just dont believe you should get them unless youre a really young kid, have health problems and can use the help, or are really old.

Its like taking medicine when youre not sick. Its doesnt prevent the flu, because people still can get it with the shot, so whats the point?

its also about protecting those around you, esp if you deal with kids, people with underlying diseases, or the elderly. you might get the virus and just get sick- no big deal. but if you can then pass it on to one of those other people, then they end up in the hospital. but there is a reason why the flu shot, unlike meningococcal or hepB vaccines, etc, isnt pushed as hard.

We incourage our employees to get vaccinated every year. It helps to cut down on missed work days due to the flu and helps keep outbreaks from happening at the office. I have no data to back this up - just personal feeling...
