I started working retail and I'm on my feet 6-8 hours at a time. My feet are killing me at the end of a shift.
Can anyone recommend a good over-the-counter insole?

i'm on my feet all day on concrete, your best bet will be TWO inserts, and a really comfortable pair of shoes. After a few weeks of working you won't believe how uncomfortable all of your shoes really are. I'm at the point now where i can only wear my work shoes...which are new balance....with two inserts + a ball of the foot insert between the two....
the biggest difference will be shoes.

superfeet. definitely worth the $$. they seem like they'll be hard and uncomfortable... but they're not. the super support they give makes everything way less painful at the end of the day.

Massaging insoles
I had something similar to them about 5 yrs ago, but then they stopped making them , after all these hard gel insoles started coming out.I discovered a new type this year. Its soles that have glycerin inside them, and baffles that distribute the glycerin, so when you walk, the glycerin squishes forward to the area you're walking on next. So it feels like a gentle massage with every step you take .A friend I sent a pair to likened it to stepping on manure with your shoes, but it really does make your feet feel less stressed .They're not cheap; about $45 but I took them out for a day about a week ago ,and my shoes felt like I was wearing lead . and if you buy two pair, you get a third one free.
And to that, make sure you get a shoe with light soles.Rockport makes shoes with Vibran soles, and they feel light as air. That also makes a difference .

If you do think about getting them, let me know, I have a coupon for 10 bucks off when you order.

They seem to work okay for me.

I used to use those or their air pillow (double-stuffed) ones. I liked both.

Yesterday I had to buy Dr. Scholls Work insoles for my husband. He didn't replace his old insoles in over 2 years. They had no gel left. He works for the parks. He put the new ones in yesterday in his steel tip boots. He went out in the yard this morning to check them out as he was sawing branches. He loves them.
