They do it because they know these "web celebs" bring people to their site. The more people the more advertising clicks. If these people stopped making videos then they would get less advertising. So they give you a little to keep you making videos. Its actually a smart business decision! It doesnt cost them much 1 cent per 1000 views or something like that with a bonuses on clicks and purchases I believe!

That kid who sounds like a South Park character, he is in the top 10 subscribed to channels. He has made over $300,000 last year just fro youtube videos. I read some article about the youtube "stars" a few months back and couldnt believe the amount these people make. All the top 20 or so made over $100,000 each some over $300,000!
