ive noticed that when someone closes a car door, or if something slams on the floor or any kind of sudden loud noise i kind of cringe, i close my eyes and crunch up.
also i have this thing with pens, if i see a pen with the cap off i HAVE TO put the cap back on or the clicky pens i have to click them closed
i did have a real important question but it keeps popping out of my head

Often, when people are startled it triggers the "fight or flight response." You're having a different reaction. Instead of running or fighting you're withdrawing into yourself. Physically, cringing makes you a smaller target. What concerns me is that this behavior might be a manifestation of a learned response to threats. You may feel that no matter what you do, you cannot obtain a satisfactory resolution. You can't run, you can't fight. Instead you take the punishment, curling up to metaphorically prevent as much hurt as possible.
Certain things that have occured in your life, that we have discussed previously suggest this.
Regarding the pens, you've told me that you feel compelled to put the cap on but that you don't necessarily feel relief when you do this. This would seem to preclude this from being a variant of OCD.

i hate when i hear or feel a heart breat whether it be a human or an animal, i get very uncomfortable and i cant deal with it
if im cuddling with a guy i have to either get up or put a pillow there so i cant feel it
feeling it bothers me a lot worse than hearing
today we had to take our pulse in health, i almost couldnt do it, i felt my heartbeat go faster

Amy as we discussed, the heart represents many things but chief among them is life. We'll continue this privately.

maybe its just one of your cute little quirks. i have issues with wrist and neck wounds, and heights. i also double check everything when i leave my house. as long as it doesn't interfere with your life in a major way, relax, smile, and put those caps on pens.
