Hey. So, I'm newly 25. I'm a certified Medical Assistant. I can't seem to get a job here, even though there is tons of jobs, i had a 3.6 GPA in my program and I interview well. So, I've thought about relocating. Seattle has caught my eye. I found numerous jobs online and am even talking to someone online about the area.

But I figured I'd ask on here for more info about the city. Has anyone ever been to Seattle? Liked it? Hated it? Things to do for fun? Moving tips?

I'd ideally want to have a job before I moved. I just don't know how to convince a employer to take a chance on me, being out of state and all. Any advice in that department would be great.

I have been to Seattle it was absolutely beautiful especially the fly over view when flying in and the city itself. But like many will probably say it does rain wayyyyyy too much. I noticed after a few days of rain I was very bored, tired and didnt want to do anything after work. I was out there for work doing a convention and usually I go out with others for drinks and dinner at night but it got to the point that I couldnt wait to just get back to the hotel room and get out of the rain.

Good luck but if you are from the NY area it could be a culture shock as well.

I was there for a week last summer and it didn't rain once (my wife's friend who we were staying with commented on how odd that was). Apparently the city of Seattle has really grown over the past ten years or so. I enjoyed the week there.

I live in a suburb here, but yeah, the place is awesome. Please don't come here.
