Every time I call I have spoken to Billy and every single time I have gotten through to Ron & Fez. I think he does fine on the phones.

Billy does his best in a high pressure job. How would you deal with all of the pinhead callers who try to scam him and bust his balls. He has his moments, but sucking? No.

You have to sell your call if you want it on. It really isn't that tough. If you sound awful, you won't get on even if you have good material. However I noticed that most of the pros have sounded like friends of Billy's not helping the cause. The post reads that those supporting him have points that validate the thread topic. Those people that say they know him and shoot the shit and always get on. Well, that's not a good policy. I think Heck has it best and that is a valid point. Billy rocked at the Halloween bar crawl. We need more.

Billy seems like a nice guy. A little corny sometimes but he comes through when out in the field.

Billy is wicked cool and very funny, so don't talk about him like that.

Also, you can tell by the quality of the callers when he's screening the phones as opposed to when Al is. The reason why you heard a really bad caller is because Al let them through.

Billy has a great sense of humor, Al doesn't.

It could also be that your bit sucked dirty, hairy ass (as opposed to sucking Dirty Harry's Ass, which must probably be old and wrinkled now)

Billy's fine. If your material sucks, you aren't getting on the air, period. I answer phones at work sometimes, believe me - IT'S A LOT HARDER THAN IT SEEMS BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE A PAIN IN THE ASS!

Answering phones is one of the most stressful jobs you can have. There are alot of people that call the show and are either rude , or uninteresting, or both. Billy has to make judgment calls pretty quickly, but he is a sweet guy...Answering that many calls (in a busy, nutty environment )takes a certain skill...and it changes with each day. The crazy callers determine the pace, not the screener.
