Is ET Search Heating Up? NASA to Announce 'Astrobiology Finding' (http://www.aolnews.com/weird-news/article/is-extraterrestrial-search-heating-up-nasa-to-announce-astrobiology-finding/19738077)
Could this be what we've all been waiting for? NASA has announced it will hold a special news conference Thursday "to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life."
Oh NASA... I'm afraid you might be just saying this for press...
But let the speculation begin!
And "life on Uranus" joke doesn't count.

I have an ET hidden in my kid's closet. See if you can spot him.

I'm sure that Morgan Freeman already explained this shit on his Discovery Channel tv show.

HOPE of finding ET-style life on other worlds has got a massive boost after scientists discovered microbes in a deadly poisonous ARSENIC lake. (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3253913/NASA-researchers-find-life-in-poisonous-arsenic-lake-in-USA.html)

its not really trumped up. it basically showed us that other shit we have found on other planets that we thought said their COULD NOT be life means not only can there be, but probably is. This is pretty huge
just a shame this was already released in an article like 4 months ago

thats why i hate that we humanize everything
all these scientists are searching for earth like planets cause theyre most likely to have life and that makes sense
but to totally exclude other options is crazy... maybe on another planet those lifeforms breathe methane like we breathe oxygen

That's not humanizing! That's Earth-anizing! We're not the only life on this planet!!!

But you got to admit, that was some PR work to get a boring ass discovery to sound like the discovery of electricity.
