Fez must make a facial expression when he get's stuck...Ron asks him if he is stuck when it sounds to me like he is doing fine...

Exactly..I've actually been thinking this for a while - that Ron puts extra pressure by doing that stuff. All of that talk, whether Fez brought in his clipboard, or got the new Introduction sounder going. It sometimes seems like a power-move of sorts, but maybe I'm going too far a bit hehe

Even when Fez says a line here or there, and Ron makes him repeat it and go "What?.. What's that Fez?" Forcing him to repeat a line, killing the spontaniety, etc. Not to mention that the extra attention then makes that isolated part much more apparent, etc.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe Ron is trying make Fez try harder, being sort of in a "tough-love" type mode. Which if that's the case, is fine I guess because it forces the pace.. Didn't hear today's show, but figured I'd get a vibe off that i've been meaning to get out that related. . MORE pepper hix! MORE pepper hix! :devil2:

This is the first time I can remember a celebrity offering help telling Fez, it isn't your fault, but you have to do the work you need to fix your problem. Henner was telling Whatley that the poisons in the system are screwing you up and if you do this that and the other thing you are going to get better.

Do I think Joey Pants is going to make Fez better? I don't know. But if he can get in a support group where he can interact with others, I think he will eventually find the support he just needs.

The search continues for the secret code that will unlock the realization in Fez that the effort to keep the death grip on his neuroses and the status quo is unsustainable and he has to let go and accept the help others are willing to offer. From the negative side it could come when their current contract is over and if Ron tells him it has been great but it's over.

My belief remains that Fez has locked himself, emotionally and intellectually, into an early phase of adolescence for whatever reasons. His almost complete lack of adult intellectual stimulation (ie. doesn't read books, watch movies not based on comic strips, enjoy art, music, etc.) has put his skull noodle into something akin to atrophy and it is now feeding on itself. The only things running around in there are old school wrestling, his secret (not unrelated), tv shows from his (biologic) childhood that model an idyllic family life that nobody has, Batman, his health worries, and whatever traumatic episodes he may have had that we don't about yet. He's like an old lady praying on a retarded six bead rosary and he thinks he's helping himself by saying the prayers faster but all he is doing is wearing it out. :wallbash:

It remains my hope,like everyone else's here, that there is a positive way to bring Fez out of this downward spiral but the experience of these last years doesn't seem like that is the way to bet. :sad:
