View Full Version : Did You Have A "NickName" As A Kid?

I'm sure most kids did. OK, I confess that my friends called me "Hagar" and "Monster" during my late teens because of my demonstrative personality while drinking and consuming mass quantities of everything. Looking back, whew, how did I ever survive?

My brothers and sister gave the horrible nickname temporarily "Beato" cause one of my middle school teachers gave a french lesson and told what our names are in french. So Matieu sounded like it...

Another nickname i have now is "Gleason" . I am called that by some of my coworkers cause i yell like Jackie Gleason and do a good impression

I would walk over in the playground and they would all yel "HEY GETOUTOFHERE!!"

it was fun

There is nothing more exhilerating than pointing out
the shortcomings of others, is there?

When I was 6, i was called Charlie Brown by the girls in my oldest brothers class

My oldest brother said I had a head that looked like an onion so my name is Ron and he would call me OnOn Soup

My other older brother had a nickname of Potato Head, he had blonde hair and some blackheads. So I was french fry to the older nieghborhood guys

Since around 7th grade up until this day most of my friends and family call me "Bubby". When my littlest sister was growing up she couldn't say brother, so she called me bubby.

"Tree" was my moniker in High School. Many people to this day who know me and are friendly when we meet are unaware that I even have a real name. To them, I'll always be "Tree".

i had the best of all...before this whole "hey it's cool to make fun of mullets" thing came around, i actually had a haircut go so horribly wrong that it was a full-fledged mullet. therefore, most people took the logical step and called me "mullet". now my hair is normal, yet people still call me this...it was annoying at first but i got used to it, so when people get mad at me and call me mullet and think it hurts me, i laugh. I LAUGH DAMN YOU I LAUGH.

i have nothing useful to add.

Well when I was a baby my nickname was "Domino" , because I was just barely 5 puonds when I came home from the hospital.., when I was a little bit older they had a nickname for me, but I can never remember it. Then in Jr. High I was sadly dubbed "Olive Oil" because I was the height I am now, I'm not tall by any means, I just got to this height quickly, and I was very thin. I fucking hated it. Boy's didn't start noticing me until like 11th grade, I mean I had boyfriends before then, just not the one's I wanted. I was a tortured teen to say the least. That's not even the tip of the iceberg...anywho, at least the Domino one was cute...

My brothers called me "Beanjaws" when I was a kid. I think it was because I had big cheeks and they looked like they were stuffed full of beans?! I'm not sure. I'll have to ask them the next time I fuck with their stuff or go in their rooms without permisson.

In 7th Grade I got the nickname "Rosie Odonnell" because I had weight issues and in this one picture my aunt took I looked exactly like her... I guess that means that Rosie looks like a tremendously overweight prepubescent boy? Then in highschool I was a lacrosse goalie, and I liked to come out of the net and hit people with a running start, so one of my friends said I was like a charging elephant. That quickly evolved into "The Elephant Man." That was by far my favorite nickname, and I wish it had stuck. Rosie went away for a little while but after I lost some weight it came back and I am still Rosie to my dad and my close friends.

As a kid I was known as "The Happy Little Donkey" from about 4th grade through 6th grade.

My football coach called me "Donuts" my freshman year because it's Stunod backwards.

Then I got the name Yak somehow... then got the name Sac (real name is Isaac. Upperclassmen changed my locker name plate from ISAAC to SAC and that stuck... hard). To this day my friends from high school call me Sac

In college I was known as "Jew" because I have a beard and a jewish sounding name. That was probably the most annoying one (only because I went to a jesuit college and about 99% of my football team would ask me questions about jewish holidays and shit thinking I was jewish... I'm catholic), but it stuck and you can't pick your own nick name.

Oh, I almost forgot. My father NEVER used my name until I graduated high school... and then never called me by a nick name again. He used to call me Willis or Homer. I didn't realize it at the time, but when he used my real name for the first time it sounded odd. I have no idea where he got Homer or Willis from, but I was born in 1980 and was called homer waaaaaay before the simpsons started.
