Anyone know where the "Hi Gary!" sound drop came from that Ron and Fez use to use?

I think it was said to a young Joaquin Phoenix in the movie Parenthood

Ha.
Yeah. That drop IS from Parenthood.
Fez used to quote it whenever a caller named "Gary" would pop up.
I actually isolated and chopped that audio from the DVD and emailed the mp3's to the show for them to use as drops. (there's two of them. Diane Wiest's character says it more than once in the movie.)

I named my dog Charley because of that drop. Whenever someone asks his name, I always say "this is Charley."
