Computer Question????

This one is for the Horde King or anyone that can give me a tip..
I have been trying to download winzip to my home computer but when i hit the download button it goes to a new screen and nothing happens. Now i have tried to send the winzip file as an attachment from my work computer through email. I can't seem to get it to work. Now the attachment work when i put the windows media in my computer. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas that might help.. Thanks

I think its either you dont hav enough memory on your computer or its because the window is open but the other windows are open and it covers it.

When you download winzip, egt it from download.cnet.com. When you click download now, give it a few seconds. After that minimize your windows, your download screen is usually behind the others. if nothing happens, go back to the download now screen and click on the link that says if it hasnt started downlaoding click here.

Well just the same screen with a small picture in the top left of screen that does not show up. Nothing behind the open window either.. shit this sucks...

i did not buy this computer.. my parents picked it up while i was away at school... i have never even heard of the computer company-Quantex... i just try to make it better..

are you running windows 2000? and eitherway try downloading it from a different site, try downloads.com if your not already.

IRISHKB - It's hard to diagnose a problem like that without seeing the computer itself.

I have an alternate suggestion. Windows comes with its own zip/unzip utility, but it doesn't come preinstalled.

If you have your windows disk handy, open up your control panel, and go to the "add/remove programs" button. Click the middle tab, "windows setup" and hightlight the different things you can install. Click details and you will see a list of additional programs to add. The utility should be among them.

I do computer stuff everyday, you should see the shit people do. The last two days i have had a user lose thier cd in thier cd-rom, and another one who called to say her monitor was not working, which would be obvious cause she opened the door for me when i was walking away with her computer to repair it.
