No he isn't.

Anyway... I like the X-Men movies... but they're just making a mess of canon timelines and characters, aren't they? I never read the comic books, but wasn't Emma Frost in Wolverine and she was just a kid?

There are pros and cons about making these kinds of changes. I don't have strong feelings about the x-men, not like I did about the Fantastic Four and my heart was broken.

I didn't mind those FF movies. They're kinda fun when you come across them on cable. Then again, not a comic book guy so I don't know how they hold up to the original material.

But I read they're going to reboot those movies as well.

I hate the word reboot.

Not really a comic book guy either but FF were some of the best I had read.

Not to worry...

They'll reboot, um re-make, I mean re-imagine the franchise in three years and everything will be made right. :innocent:

I just don't like the fact that that Beast is already changed into his furry form. Hank McCoy was originally a large, acrobatic guy with very large hands and feet, no fur.

He is as you say. The transformation happens later in the movie.

This is by far the best of the X-Men movies.
Smart, tightly plotted, well directed
The older charcters well focused and motivated
the younger ones more impulsive and confused.
It's a pleasure to watch from beginning to end.
It reminds me of Watchmen because it effectively uses History to frame the alternate reality.

No. She IS young. At one point she tries to seduce Magneto and he says "Maybe in a few years", so she transformed from the younger girl she was into Rebecca Romijn, hence "in a few years".

Um...Thor didnt bomb. And Xmen while not doing as well as former Xmen movies, hit expectations. I cant speak for Green Lantern.

And super hero movies are FAR from dying out. Captain America, Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider-Man and The Avengers will all prove that.

Enough to warrant a sequel though? It just seems like over saturation with these movies.

I don't know if Thor was set up for a sequel anyway. Half the Marvel movies coming out this year are preparation for the Avengers.

Yea well Thor has to get to Earth for the Avengers doesnt he??

Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America were made strictly to set up the Avengers. Seeing how great Iron Man did prompted a sequel for it, but the rest of them were all made to set up the biggie.

If DC were smart they would be making The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern 2 and Aquaman right now. Have the guy playing Superman in Man of Steel signed on for a series of films, and be ready to reboot Batman once The Dark Knight Rises is done.

Then use all of those actors to put together a Justice League movie. It would be TREMENDOUS.

I think Thor did good enough for them to make a stand alone sequel, but it wouldn't work if they didn't have Portman in it.

Not for Thor just yet. In the end credits, right before the 'extra scene' it says "Thor will be back in The Avengers" so no Thor 2 as of yet.

I 100% agree, but they would HAVE to re-do Superman. That Emo-Superman from Superman Returns just outright SUCKED.
And, from what I understand, the Dark Knight we know and love isn't the same Batman who joins the Justice League.

And as for Aquaman? I wonder if THIS guy is available....after this summer I'd think he is:
