PS2 Games: Madden vs. NFL2k2, NHL2k2 vs. NHL 2002 vs. Hitz

I just bought a PS2, and the two initial games I bought are Grand Theft Auto 3 and Madden 2002.

I'm a little underwhelmed, right now.

I really like NFL2k2 on Dreamcast, but I've always been a Madden mark, so I bought Madden.

I'm wondering if people prefer NFL2k2 on PS2 to Madden.

As for NHL games, which is the best on the system?

NHL 2002 is off the hook. it's well worth the money. Hitz is just as good if you enjoy kicking ass instead of scoring goals. NHL2K2 just doesnt cut it, at least for me anyway.

Madden is all-around the best football game around. i never liked nfl2k2, it's a pain in the ass just to pick a play.

I don't have Madden for PS2, but have it for Gamecube. I love the game, b/c of the extra features, and the better comments by Madden and Summerall...of course the repeat themselves often sometimes, but it seems better and more original.

But whats great is the practice and training modes, which are perfect if you want to know how to run a play the right way. And of course, the regular games are pretty realistic, and you get all those bonus teams too. If it's realism you want, Madden is for you. That's my call.

I'd buy any EA Sports game over the others.
