Does anyone at wackbag like either show?

So I stupidly just visited Wackbag for the first time in years, I was just trying to find out what time Jay Mohr was on O&A today by checking their listening thread. Why do these people even listen? Every post was negative, "shut up Danny" "Jay Mohr is annoying" "Opie smells a bit, here we go" ect , ect. And mixed in a few "I hope Fez is gone" posts. I don't remember them being this bad a few years ago, they are misserable, why put yourself thru it? Turn it off, dumbasses!
Made this board look like the Loveshack.

Wackbag loves O&A but will shit on R&f, if people put down Anthony or Opie they will get attacked.

.net loves R&f but will shit on O&A , if people put down Ron or Fez they will get attacked.


I post on both that way I can shit on both O&A and R&F

The only big difference is people are more civilized here.

That's how the listening threads always are. Maybe you shouldn't base your opinion on a one minute visit.
It helps to know the personalities of the people involved.

That's fair, but I wasn't basing an overall opinion of the site on the listening threads, I was comparing it to what it was when I last visited, a few years ago.

I bitch in the O&A thread because I feel like I need someone who understands the frustration. I also make sure when I'm especially positive on something I bring it up too, like the week of great radio Opie and friends did when Anthony was cruising.

Their listening threads are circle jerks made up of the same group of 5 or 6 posters who post at least 100 times a day in every thread on the site.

Someone there posted the other day that they read over here at .net recently and they were surprised about how negative it is and how everyone hates both shows. I would link to that post but I don't remember what thread it was in.

It's the same shit on both sites, except if you express a opinion that isn't popular here 20 people don't come after you with Jim Norton references.

I've noticed that alot of listeners have fallen so deeply in love with either show that they consider themselves part of them. As if they should have a say in what material makes it onair etc... And they have come to believe that their opinions on what is funny or not matters to the hosts so if they hear one single bit that annoys them they go off. Its really sad that people are so miserable in their own personal lives that they have become so personally attached to the show.

I really like both shows and both boards...god forbid I say something negative...It does not take long to figure out who the A-holes are...They are message boards not Altars to worship the Show Hosts etc...We pay good money to have Sat a Lite Radio...so its nice to post about the shows and the Hosts and guests...As Ozzy Says...God Bless You All...

I've done my fair share of shitting on Mr. Cumia, but I have to say that the past month of O&A has been really strong, right up until yesterday morning when they decided to attack McDonald's for trying to appeal to minorities. Other than that blemish, they've actually been doing very good radio lately, IMO.
