Shit, if you think for one minute that even a small % of what the government tells you is true then you are too naive by half. You think Oswald was the only shooter? You think Kennedy wasn't killed for something he was doing politically that didn't suit the power behind the figurehead of the Presidency? It's all contrived. Smoke and mirrors to give the people the sense that they really can affect change with their vote. It's a fucking joke. I know of some spec ops guys that say Bin Laden has been dead for years, killed in a bombing mission. Who knows. It sure doesn't pass the smell test. I think their negative attitude sometimes rubs off on the listeners. The best way to combat the threads you see as negative is post some stuff that you enjoyed. I'm sure others would jump in and contribute, I know I would. I like a majority of the show but there are things that I don't like one of them being RAnthony's racist diatribes which happen numerous times a week ever since a black guy became the president.

I enjoyed the CIA guy today was kind of interesting hearing his take on things since he was someone who worked in the agency. I also enjoyed Morgan Spurlock.

Ellis show is on Fuel TV, he also has another TV show coming out soon as well. His contract with Sirius/XM is up soon also but he said if they try and low ball him like they did to O&A, R&F, Jay Thomas and Bubba The Love Sponge he is going to walk and just do TV. I'm calling bullass on Ant's explanation for the shoes at accident scenes. The concept of the shoe's inertia being the reason that people's shoes fall off when they are hit by a car don't jibe with me. Here is my amateur physics analysis:

The shoe's inertia is proportional to the mass of the shoe, and the ability for a human body to be knocked out of the shoe would involve some sort of formula relating the shoe's mass versus the friction between the foot and the shoe. Given this, a person/shoe combo that would be able to be separated by a sudden forceful impact to the person should also be able to be suspended and jostled slightly, causing the shoe to fall off the foot. I'm sure there are some person/shoe combos moving through the world that have such loose-fitting shoes that this is possible. But it's not likely. Another way of looking at it would be that if a person can be knocked out of their shoes, they can also jump out of their shoes, which is also unlikely. The problem comes from a cartoon/hollywood way of envisioning a human being struck by a car. The car smacks into the person, knocking it up into the air and the shoes remain in place where the person was standing.

I propose that it is far more likely that gravity, and the resultant friction caused by it, are the main factors in someone being knocked out of their shoes after being hit by a car. If we strip it down to basics, first imagine that time is like a river. Then imagine a person standing in a pair of sneakers that are laced tight enough that they do not slide around on the person's feet, and are snug enough to stay on the feet for at least 8 hours of the person moving about. This person is standing in the middle of an asphalt street.

A car strikes the person at a decent clip. Due to the wedge shape of the front of most vehicles, there will be a percentage of the vehicles force being converted into an upward vector, but the majority of the force will be in line with the level of the street, generally close to level, or perpendicular to gravity.

As the car's force is transferred into the person, the body reacts by being flung away from the vehicle, and slightly upward. The upward momentum of the body is quickly neutralized by gravity, and the person's momentum changes to a combination of lateral and downward force.

The person's shoes have remained on the feet until this point. As the body comes back into contact with the asphalt, which has a high friction coefficient, the points of the body that touch down will be pulled in two different directions, down (gravity) and away (smack). One of these points is likely to be the sole of the shoe, or at least the heel of the sole. The soles of shoes are made from materials that also have a high friction coefficient so that we don't slip and fall every step. As the body continues, the weight and downward force of the person add to the friction being generated between the sole and the asphalt, which resists the lateral motion of the body. This resistance will quickly pull the shoe off of the foot.

I don't think he should be included because of today's definition of the word "athlete". Ruth was a baseball hero for sure, and help to make it what it is today but he wasn't known for sprinting around the bases, and making diving catches in the outfield. he was a power hitter and while yea that takes talent and strength, i don't think it has much to do with being "athletic" as the way i understand or interpret its meaning.
