I just hate listening to a musician talk about their own music, or their own era. I'm not crazy about musicians talking music in general but talking about some other musical thing from the fan's perspective is a little better. It's a wierd thing, because I dont mind music talk from total amateurs. I think at a certain point the music stops belonging to the artist, and I find them almost intrusive to it. No artist is writing a song so that I can understand exactly how he felt in a specific moment, they want to be universal, so dont ruin my experience by making it less universal and trying to regain ownership.
