I know there will be a difference of opinions in this topic.
But I wanna what you people think is the greatest cartoon series (past or present) ever.
For me, it will always be The Transformers from the 80's.
Great action, storylines, and a kick ass movie.
What do you people think?

Depends on the season with either:
Dragon Ball Z
Transformers (old)
Simpsons
South Park
The Tick
Family Guy
Voltron
Dr. Katz
and I'm sure I'm missing plenty more. However, I do hate the corny shit like Scooby, Jetsons, Flintstones, and many others I assure you.

I'm gonna stick with American cartoons.

1. Batman: The Animated Series
2. Gargoyles
3. G.I. Joe
4. Transformers
5. Superman (the original Max Fleischer toons)

I really consider Simpsons more of a regular show that's animated than I consider it a regular old cartoon.

Powerpuff Girls
Oh yeah, and Dexters Lab rocks pretty hard too.

here are two no one's
mentioned yet: the
intelligent, overlooked satire
Duckman and the Critic
which, if it had been left on
ABC for more than 10
episodes had potential for
topping The Simpsons

Real Ghostbusters was good the first couple seasons, because it had guys like Joe Michael Stracynzski writing most of the episodes.

The Critic - good call
Duckman however well written at times, visually unappealing and put together in a rough way that I at least didn't like much. Opinion I know.

Does anyone remember some weird cartoon way back when Fox started that was called something like TransZ 5000. I think it was originally from Japan, but I'm not even sure on the name.

if you know about Everette Peck and the show itself the dirty, gritty 'unappealing' look was part of, what I consider, the show's charm. And the fluffy and uranus deaths were awesome. It did drop a bit in the final season but I still love watching the fucker.

I grew up on Ghostbusters based on the movie with Slimer as a main character.

Series to me means like a series, Bugs wasn't a show in and of itself as some of Bugs bests were just pre-movie cartoons.

I'm sorry to be so blunt, but you're all retarded. Well, maybe that's a bit harsh. Simpsons, Tick, Duckman anything on Adult Swim, Real Ghostbusters, all great choices

It's plain and simple. The greatest cartoon series EVER is without a doubt:

Ducktales.

I dare anyone to challenge that statement.

The X-MEN cartoon in the early 90's would've been one of the best if it wasn't for below average animation.
I agree with Ducktales as one of the best. Uncle Scrooge kicks ass.

Best Bugs Bunny moment for me was when he pretended to be "Leapol the Composer"

For the record, old people aren't allowed to discuss cartoons as they have had all the spirit sucked out of them by a life of hardship and disappointment.

That being said, Darkwing Duck was great, but you can't have a better villain than Flintheart Glomgold.

Besides, Ducktales had a movie.
