I find myself having to vent about this guy so often that I had to give him his own thread and not just post about him in the ESPN thread.

So this morning he's going on for like 10-15 minutes about Tiger Woods' old caddy.

He's playing audio where the guy keeps saying " I " to make the point that this guy is only about himself.

Later on he keeps talking about how this weekend wasn't that bad for the Yankees and actually was good for them since they had a close win, a close loss and a rare bad game from Sabathia.

So he says this several times and then I think it was when he was talking to Curt Schilling it was pointed out that Sabathia was 0-4 with a 7+ ERA against the Red Sox this season.

This guy claims to do such great research and he didn't know, as anybody who watched TV after Saturday's game knew, that Sabathia has lost to the same team 4 times in a season for the 1st time in his career.

He's such a blowhard yet I keep listening.

I cant stand Cowherd. Such an obnoxious dick. The final straw was a few years ago when he honestly said that he liked the NFL draft more than the NFL season. What an utterly retarded thing to say. Hes the Glen Beck of sports radio.

He actually enjoys soccer, enough said. The few times I have even caught his tv show Michelle makes him look like an idiot many times over and I wouldn't say she's on top of it to begin with.

He comes off like Skip Bayless @ times. Just saying shit to be controversial. Stuff so off the wall that if it ever became true he'd look like a genius but if it didn't there's nothing @ stake.
Not that I haven't enjoyed him in the past but lately he's sucked all balls.

He's still better than Stephan A Smith though.

I'm totally disagreeing with what he's going on about right now.

Firstly I don't think that Texas A&M becomes the 9th best, nevermind popular, team in the SEC.

They will probably have a bigger following than anybody outside of LSU, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and I guess Auburn.

As far as talent goes there's no reason to think they won't be in the top 4 or 5 teams after a few years in the league.

They've always battled LSU for some recruits and actually at one time, granted 10+ years back, beat LSU in 5 straight games.

He's also saying that if Texas left the Big 12 and went independent that they'd be a better Notre Dame.

That's just ridiculous in my opinion.

Sure they are a big team with a big following but it's far more regional than Notre Dame.

The only people watching a netowrk that's just Texas are people in Texas.

It's not like Texas has been a historically national team.

Winning that title a few years back was their first in 30+ years.

Now he just said that kids that play on Little League teams that aren't in CA, Texas or FL are deluding themselves if they think they'll go to the LLWS.

Didn't NJ have a team win it all a few years back ?

Sure the talent favors those teams, as it does in HS and college baseball, but the gap's not as big with LL.

I don't know why I listen to this guy. He's at time worse than Francesa.

He's going on about how Tebow can't beat good defenses and points to his dismals 1st 3 quarters of games.

But what he's failing to mention is that he's beating good defenses when you'd think he's less likely to do so.

He beat, rather helped beat, both the Jets and Bears late in the game when you'd think " good defenses " would be able to hone in on him and shut him down. Yet neither of those teams did that.

Then he goes on about how if they don't get the onside kick against Miami and they don't get late FGs they don't win.

You could " what if " almost every win in almost every game.

He keeps going on about how Tebow isn't Brady and he isn't Brees but who said he had to be ?

Jim McMahon and Doug Williams weren't Joe Montana yet they won Super Bowls at the same time as him.

And as if Brady hasn't ever been fortunate in his career ?

Please

So he says this morning, indirectly, that if the Colts draft Luck that the Texans are looking at 2nd place in that division for the next 10-15 years.

He goes on and on about how Tebow's getting too much credit and just one player doesn't make a difference but now he's saying a guy in college is gonna lead a team to 15 straight division titles.

He's such an idiot sometimes.

Did u hear where he was saying that by Wayne catching that td and getting win prob doomed the franchise for next 10 to 15 yrs bc they might miss out on luck?
Said a loss last night woulda wrapped up #1 pick for them and they screwed the pooch by winning

JimBeam
12-23-2011, 08:31 AM
Yeah that's the part I was talking about.

And then he veered off on how Barkey coming back to USC spells doom for the SEC because they'll face " real " defenses in the championship game.

I'd wish the guy dead if he didn't have kids. He's getting as bad a Francesa.

cougarjake13

I find the ESN TV show good, DVR it on Wed. play it Sat. and it's still relevant not as repetitive as the other shows on ESPN. At three hours, just Wed. seems to work for the second week now.

He's killing me today.

I know the Rookie Of The Year thing is very contentious and really could go anyway but his hands down support for Luck is silly.

He's now saying that INTs are overrated.

WTF

Yeah maybe from a statistical standpoint they can be factored out in a bigger picture but an INT is costing yourself a chance to score and giving the other team an extra chance.

That's not overrated.

He's going on about how Luck threw more and that's whay he had more INTs ( forgetting that because he through more he had a better chance at more completions and therefore a higher completion% ).

His producer pointed out that there were 17 guys that threw 500+ times and Luck was 17th in completion%.

He's also going on about how he had no weapons ( I guess he's forgetting Reggie Wayne ).

Ok, first off he's just sparking talk by being his normal know it all abrasive self...backed by complete bs. Throwing more does not help completion percentage at all, just more tosses good or bad. If he said higher potential for ints, sure...but it does the same for tds. It's about ratios and the overall picture. Away from home, luck struggled in a big way too. Not sure who is better, but one hands down over the others this year is nuts. There are some awesome backs in this class too...richardson was clev's offense and martin in tb was pretty sick. Now go back to Seattle's wilson at QB, ADDED to grif and luck and u have quite a class already. I'm sure I am forgetting some too.

That was the other thing that bothered me about his points.

He was giving him all the credit for the yards that came w/ passing so many times.

So he benefits from passing a lot but shouldn't be penalized ?

He's so frustratingy annoying that I don't know why I listen. LOL

I was never able to tease out any actual firm positions he has on anything. He's a total and complete troll, changing his positions at will to keep his listeners stirred up.

What really pushed me over the line on this douche and made me swore to never watch or listen to anything he is associated with was when he continued to insist Sean Taylor's murder must have been related to some sort of criminal activity Taylor was involved in, long after the evidence was becoming clear that Taylor had no connection to his killer other than the fact the guy had been to a party at his house. That's going beyond trolling into defamation.
