The Ergs are far and away the best of the modern era pop punk bands, and by modern era I mean after the 90s. They were making legit pop punk, like the kind that was decidedly less bubblegummy and hyper.

Wish I had something like these shows in upstate NY in the 80s when I was a kid. Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers and the Electric Company did the trick, though.
Anyway, lovin' the giddy Ronnie B.! I'm so used to him being somewhat miserable that this is pretty refreshing. You can actually hear him smile...

I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

They let the West Memphis 3 out. This Alford Plea thing is bizarre. I get it for what it's to be used for, but I guess I dont get it in what was a capital murder case. I would think the move is to get a retrial, which the article says they were headed for.

yea, its just after Crystal tells Daniel Stern not to tell everyone about divorcing his wife and he's all, "oh I know...of course". Then the dudes they buy the supplies from come out of the general store and one guy is like, "Hey man, about that ex wife of yours, I'd think twice about that.....goin back to her is like puttin yer balls in a bear trap"
and this is awesome news. They used what's called "The Alford Plea" which is basically them acknowledging that though they are innocent, the state had enough evidence to rightfully convict them and convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt, which they really didn't at all. It's tough to say if I would go along with this. They effectively change their plea from not guilty to guilty, and the state is able to get off the hook scot free. Tough choice.

You're the second person in two days I've heard reference that movie that no one ever talks about. Weird.
really? huh, that is weird. I had something similar recently.....found a bunch of old cd's that I hadn't listened to in years, one of them was the Offspring debut album Smash....i listened to it on Saturday last week and just today a friend on facebook asked me if I remembered listening to it at her house like 12 years ago. crazy shit.
