The floor of the elevator we used was just a mesh platform. You could look between the 4x4inch grids and see a little white dot down in the blackness - it was the bottom where a light was.

Sunny is one of the best comedies for many years (I'd add Curb, AD, Mr. Show, and Raymond (blech!)). If you haven't seen any, catch up. I've checked them since the OG, and can re-watch them like Seinfeld. One of its best character concepts mimics Seinfeld: they're all despicable, selfish, and anti-social. DeVito coming aboard in the 8-9th episode really ramped it up.

I was never into it, until around 2005ish. I remember feeling deflated once I knew that I'd seen them all, to date. It definitely fits into sitcom.....we think of sitcom as anything live action with a laugh track, but really, a sitcom is just recurring characters (stan, kyle, cartman, kenny) in a recurring environment (south park) that uses humor to drive the dialogue. it doesn't specify between live action or cartoon and if Simpsons fits in the category than so does South Park....and come to think of it, Family Guy.

I think South Park has got to be #1 because its really one of the only shows that's taking big risks to get their laughs. any south park episode is accompanied by complaints, death threats, and the offended. its constantly talked about when they're doing a season. Whatever is really popular that week, you can bet they have an episode ready to lampoon whatever it is. Just look at the Royal Canadian Wedding episode they did.....it came out the same day Prince Will and Kate got married. that's pretty on point. I give it to South Park all the way.

When I worked nights I'd take the 1 train into times square at 11 pm. Here'd always be like 50 tourists waiting directly in front of the doors to get on. Eventually I just gave up and would walk right into them all. Best are the guys who decide at rush hour the spot just inside the door is theirs and will not move in if space clears up. Just now an old lady stopped in front of the elevator at target confused if it was going up or down (on the bottom floor!) and caused us to both miss the elevator.
