I'm a day or two behind on Audible.
Is "THE INTERROBANG" sounder still accidentally stuck on a loop? Because... if it is.... I'm seriously going to not listen to the show for the first time ever.
I tune out when Fred Brooklyn is on.
I tune out when Mafia Life Chris is on.
I tune out when Stawka Patty is on.
But... I always keep checking back for when their segment is over.
but INTERROBANG?
Fuck that. I'm out.
definitely the most annoying sounder that I can remember...
they seem to be using in in spurts, so I just turn the volume off for a while during the first one of the series...

I'm confused, shocked, and angered by this painfully unfunny bit. Is Ron making fun of some other radio station's gag? If not... he's officially one of "them" now. One of the bad ones. He's Dice Clay.

I don't like this thing either. I'm still not sure what it means, and when I heard what it meant, I didn't get why they were playing it when they did. And by now I've even forgotten what its supposed to mean. Bring back Ichibans.....things are falling apart without the Ichibans.

I'm about 20 minutes into yesterday's show, and I'm wondering how much longer to give it before shutting it off. It's especially annoying on headphones.

Since message boards are still the best place for ill-informed speculation (other than Foxnews.com, of course ) here's mine:
This is Ron's 1st visible step towards the post-Fez era. it appears to be structured to highlight Ron's strengths and interests and will probably be the platform Ron pushes to transition himself into the next gig. Let's face it, the Ron & Fez Show in its current form is basically unpromotable. The audience components are us legacy listeners who love Ron and feel badly for Fez (& are waiting for the conclusion to his career death rattles) , folks who tune in for the soap opera aspect and those who wait their turn to take a shot at the "retard".
Ron has said several times in the past that he wanted the XM gig to be "a cool little radio show" where he could talk things that interested him. Of late his interest seems a lot more atuned to the podcast format (and how one could make a living at it.)
You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

I was immediately struck by how detached "Ron Bennington" was from the new site. His name appears almost nowhere. The current show is not mentioned. And the fact that Ron is a radio host isn't even featured.
I find that very strange.
Ron has a radio show.... and promotes the site on the show... but doesn't promote the show on the site.
In any case.... Fez sure as shit isn't mentioned anywhere.

I still dont get it or know what the point of it is.
It's basically... Ron trying to become an "entity", like, say.... The Onion or whatever. The conversations he has on the show now appear as "articles" on The Interrobang website. For example... the top 5 "best rockumentaries" discussion they had on the air with Mikeyboy now appears as a list on the site "as decided by The Interrobang 'staff'". Etc etc.
As I stated earlier... it sounds like a bizarre way to market the show (if at all). The Ron And Fez Show is not mentioned there.
That being said... the site is really nice looking and fun & easy to use. It's well made.
The sounder still drives me fucking insane.

I like the site, but the choice of name is unfortunate. Why do they want to latch onto certain things that become very quickly dated? I had been hearing about this new punctuation symbol weeks ago. Why would you base a site off of it? They read a few news articles about this and they decide they are going to base their whole marketing on it? It just seems like a very poor choice to make.

I'm interested in who pays to keep the site updated and how long it can last. It seems like it would be a full time job to keep it updated and I'd be shocked if Sirius pays for it. I like the site, but I give it 6 months before it's as dead as this place. It wouldn't be the Ron and Fez show if they kept a bit going longer than a few months...

I don't know if he pays for it, but JustJon created the site. And he's getting a shitload of free advertising on the show, since Ron mentions his business on a regular basis. If Jon is the one paying for it, then the free plugs probably make it well worth any investment.

Maybe a 12 year old with a shitload of time on his hands. I'm more impressed with the volume of stuff on the site and doubtful anyone on the show has the stamina to keep it up. All the other sites in the past were user driven by hundreds of listeners contributing good and bad. Now this is the show (and maybe 1-2 web developers) contributing everything. A couple of tweets a day on 202 friends was nothing compared to what it will take to keep this going. And justjon might've put people in contact or provided server space to get the ibang going, but he isn't the John that owns the company that designs the website and gets the plugs on the show.

Interobangworthy?
A Glee actress's 40 year old father got killed. Check out the amount of reward at the end of the article:
"Ricky Pempengco, 40, was shopping in San Pedro township when he bumped into Angel Capili, who allegedly stabbed Pembengco in the chest and back with an ice pick, said Laguna province police chief, Senior Supt. Gilbert Cruz.
Capili then fled the scene, and a manhunt has since been launched, with a reward of 20,000 pesos ($470) for information leading to his arrest."

I actually like the overall LOOK of the website. It's clean.
What I hate is the way it functions. Things are hard to find. The site is not intuitive. Even Ron sometimes says on the air "where is ___? is it under 'the wire', or.....?" Which implies that even HE can't simply log on and quickly find something.
When the site first started, there wasn't a 5 Easy Pieces... Hangman... Gold Plated Covers... etc... and not nearly as many human interest stories & videos.
I went from loving the layout to completely hating it within just a few weeks.

who runs the site, does anyone know? i think the look of it is great, but i don't spend enough time on it to look for anything. it is sad, but i am not interested in any of the topics they have on there like hangman, the bad covers etc. I think the site has potential, but just not the content to make it good.
also, it is funny how the comments section is now back to the way a message board runs, and less like twitter
