DVD/Blu-ray Collectors

How often do you watch discs you own? Do you watch them immediately after purchasing them?

I have around 85 Blu-rays and have watched 2 of them. I have all intentions of watching the rest, but with having Instant Netflix and a DVR constantly recording movies off of TCM, I feel less inclined to watch something I've already seen.
A small percentage of my collection are blind buys.

How do you justify what gets bought?

I try to buy just movies that I really enjoyed that I know I'd like on multiple viewings. I'll pick up a blind buy if I hear good things about it and I can find it cheap.

I'm interpreting this post as a cry for help, so I'm going to tell you what you already know, but need to hear from someone else: This is stupid and a waste of money. Cut your losses and sell them all now.

Nothing wrong with collecting DVDs. I have a lot myself. Most are ones that I have seen and enjoy multiple viewings. I've had a few blind buys and no big disappointments. Most of my collection is made up of drama, thrillers and sci-fi. A few comedies. A lot if TV shows too, but I never listed it all anywhere. Might be a good idea.

For me it's old school stuff I just want to have/own. Shit like Voltron, Army of Darkness and other titles I just want a very clean copy of. I by no means am going out and buying blue rays left and right, but if I'm at the register and Office Space is only $3 on blu ray, it just found a home.

all my blurays get watched within a week of buying,my only exception is the STAR WARS set that i bought the day it went on sell and i still havent watched all of episode 6 yet

i like to psysically own something and usually give away the code to combo sets
