It's about time they changed the god damn station to this, why did it have to take over seven years!?

I can only imagine that Opie is a nightmare to work with behind the scenes, and so anything he wants is eventually taken care of by the suits, but it's never a priority.

Remember The Virus was the name they chose after High Voltage, not to mention the whole 'golden ticket' debacle.

From what they were saying, they hated HV and took TV as a compromise, even though they wanted O&A from the get go.

And "High Voltage" is about as hack a channel name as it gets. Oh, it's shocking! I get it!

But he's smarter than everyone else. A legend in his own mind.

Given the fact that Sirius wouldn't keep ESD but keeps Fez propped up on the air, has paid Oprah MILLIONS of dollars for no content, etc. etc. etc. I'm likely to side with Opie than I am with Sirius suits.
The smartest person in that outfit was E. Lo and he got out while the getting was good.
I prefer "High Voltage" and "The Virus" to "The Opie and Anthony Channel"

Wow people still on here going on and on about this? If he was so scary talented by now someone would have elevated him to the great hieghts you think he should be at.
Honestly. He's just a frat boy goon there are millions of them out there. Get over it 3 years later.

You get over it - ESD was perfect on that show and it is a fucking shame that he had to leave because of the money. Fucking hater....

No answer to my question that if he was so talented why isn't he doing anything relevant.
Just more fan boy anger

It must be hard to get your foot in the door when you are so wild and crazy.
And yes, I am a fan boy for ESD and yes, I am a little angered that the show didnt do something to keep him on. If Sirius wouldnt, I thought maybe Ron and FEz would sweeten the pot somehow. I bet Ron second guesses this a lot at times.

He is doing relevant things - he got radio shows and internet shows and is having a blast doing them. That's relevant to him, and that is all that matters. He's not stopping, much like most of the other "millions of goons" would.

I miss "the virus", and I miss ESD.
I wish he was there to hear him getting his ichiban branding turned into an interrobang.

Talent and success in the radio business are unrelated.

Terrestrial radio is floundering and unwilling to take risks (or take safe bets on industry juggernauts like Carolla and Leykis). Meanwhile, satellite radio is obviously unwilling to pay even on-air personalities.

If you compare programming, satellite radio and terrestrial radio are practically the same.
