Just noticed the "O&A Channel" schedule doesn't list the SMODcast on the weekends anymore. I couldn't find it the last couple weekends when I was looking for it (never really knew when it was on), but it looks like they just dropped it altogether.
I think that'd be pretty surprising, though, considering how close the guys are with Kevin...

With two Rogan podcasts to be played twice, they must have run out of room.

Regardless, they have the time to play everything but they continually insist on replaying the same shit over and over again. I just don't understand and since I work weekends, as I'm sure quite a few subscribers do, it's very frustrating.

It's possible since K. Smith is starting up his own podcasting network, he asked for the plug to be pulled. Karmazin has gone on record he doesn't like sharing/splitting content with other providers. Who knows.

I'll second that, Smodcast is far and away my favorite podcast, although Scott Mosier is obviously a huge part of that.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. Rogan's OK, but it can be a little much. A couple weekends I was driving a couple hours w/ my girl and we were listening to him and Joe Diaz. That guy's an f-ing lunatic...
But I think you guys are probably right about it being a combo of Mel not wanting to share and Smith wanting to centralize everything via the web.

He probably didn't renegotiate his contract with them. Remember how it started out as Kevin Smith will be doing exclusive Smodcasts for Sirius/XM only and that lasted maybe a month then they just played ones you could download for free. There is no point in listening on the weekends the programing is horrible. They run stuff you can download or stream for free on a paid service.

All these podcasts they run on the weekends aren't exclusive to Sirius/XM. You can stream or download Kevin Smith's Smodcast from his website and the same with Rogan's podcast. Sirius/XM pays Joe Rogan and Kevin Smith money to play their free product on a a paid service.
When they aren't doing that they play this stupid O&A countdown show over and over and over again on a loop. I think O&A are embarrassed about the weekend programing since they never mention it. I'm not sure what Ron and Fez say about it b/c I haven't listened to them in a year or two.

ah, so "They run stuff on a paid service you can download or stream for free."
and i never would have listened to smodcast except for the weekend exposure, so i'm thankful for that.
