Anyone catch this? New to Friday nights on NBC. Also available On Demand.

The pilot was a solid introduction. Much darker and twisted than ABC's Once Upon A Time. Even though it's your basic "You come from a long line of descendant monster hunters and it's your turn to take over" plot-line, it was done very well with just enough creepiness and gore to keep you hooked.

And the character of the "reformed" werewolf was great, and will probably make a good comic sidekick.

I saw it - gonna give it a chance.

I liked the creepy post man character - perfect for a child snatcher.

I didnt have any interest in Grimm for a couple of reasons but the main reason is its on NBC and NBC cancels shows after 2 or 3 weeks. Im tired of shows on NBC not given a real chance or leaving me hanging when they still have 5 or 7 unaired, fully filmed shows.

I did however watch Once upon a time and have liked it so far. I didnt plan on watching it but somehow I dvrd it and watched eps 1 the other night and liked it enough to dvr last nights eps. I really liked the 2nd eps and think they have done a good job so far.

did nbs just drop heros too?

that was all over the fucking place and then bam, it's as if it never existed

was it too expensive or did the ratings just blow?

it just seemed to oddly just disappear at what seemed like the height of it's popularity

i don't really watch trends or ratings, so I have no idea what happened

Yea, it slowly started losing viewers, it didnt happened as quick as you think it did.

They canned it a season too late.

Harrys Law was a good show the way it was 1st season. Now 2nd season they are a huge law firm out of nowhere? Did I miss something b/c they never really explained why they moved upstairs and why they share space with Tommy Jefferson or how that new douche lawyer is working w/ them? I know he went her in to join his Alfred Molina case to start the season but why and why is he now part of her practice or her partner?

The numbest shit about that is they work on the SAME FLOOR have offices next to eachother but are not Partners.

They let go the black dude and that hot blonde for awful charecters, Minus the guy from Human Target.

At this point I'm sticking with Chuck because it's the final season. I've put enough time into it that I might as well finish.

I'm really liking this show. Just the right about of scares, gore and mythology. Funny too.

Eddie the reformed werewolf is great and his tearing that guy's arm off was sick and funny. "That might have gone too far!"

Too bad this show is buried on Friday nights.

the only reason why im warming to this show is because of Eddie (who i will refer to as Pilates Wolf, as i do on io9) its a guilty pleasure show for sure.

i just find myself getting annoyed with Grimm. he needs to take a few days off and study his lore. it shouldnt be that he cracks the books as the need arises and how he just so happens to find the passage he needs in Auntie's grimoire. take a week off and learn your stuff. use pilates wolf as a study partner, since you already insist upon him being a traitor to the monster world by being your sidekick.

that being said, im sad he had to shoot major kira  she was genuinely trying to help.

I think stations should start doing like regional lineups and shows.

Shows for east coast/west coast and shows for south and mid west.

I'm tired of good shows getting cancelled because dummies in the south and mid west don't watch good and smart stuff.

if everything went to like a ppv format that could happen

otherwise it'll be too expensive

Well whaddya know...

NBC's Grimm gets a full season order AND a Thursday night tryout (http://blastr.com/2011/11/nbcs-1-drama-is-grimm-and.php)

Here's a shocker. NBC's Grimm has taken on the Friday night "death slot" and won. The network has given the fractured fairy-tale procedural a full-season pickup order for its back nine AND a Thursday night tryout on Dec. 8 at 10 p.m.

When the show was scheduled, not only on show-killer Fridays at 9 p.m. opposite Fox's Fringe and The CW's Supernatural, but also with a late start, with the low-rated Chuck for a lead-in, and running up against the seventh game of baseball's World Series ... things looked pretty, well, grim for Grimm. Instead the show has gone on to beat all comers and turn into NBC's number-one new drama.

Nice, I actually like the show.

Still doesn't make up for Community being shelved.

I actually gave up on Parks years ago.

It was way too officey for me.

Even Lesley was like a female Michael Scott.

last friday's episode seemed to be better than the rest of the series so far. the scene with the pocile chief and the "reaper" (idk what they are called) was quite good and the french sounded excellent.

also, pilates wolf seems like such a great guy. i want to buy him a beer  i just wonder how long it will be until he starts to catch shit for helping a grimm (though the bees were trying to help grimm too)

I think as it goes on much more of the world will be revealed where there are a bunch of "good" creatures that would help Grimm. That's why his aunt told him to kill the bad ones, not kill all of them.

And this past week was a great take on the Three Little Pigs. "The huff and puff days are over!" Hahaha... they really do a great job with these stories. Very dark and twisted. And Monroe has quickly become one of my favorite characters on TV.

Also the Asian cop. He's great in every scene too.

well, pharma-girl (thats what im gonna call her) said that if you eat an 'ookie cookie' that is not meant for you, it can fuck you up psychologically. china-cop developed pica from the expierence. shit, if i saw people's faces melting like that, im sure id be a little fucked after that too.

Diagnostic criteria for 307.52 Pica

A. Persistent eating of nonnutritive substances for a period of at least 1 month.

B. The eating of nonnutritive substances is inappropriate to the develop*mental level.

C. The eating behavior is not part of a culturally sanctioned practice.

D. If the eating behavior occurs exclusively during the course of another mental disorder (e.g., Mental Retardation, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Schizophrenia), it is sufficiently severe to warrant independent clinical attention.
