I'm not being an elitist but I recognize there is a wide gap between what one enjoys and what is artistically great. I'm satisfied to seperate those two things, a lot of the stuff I like isn't going to the top of any lists and I'm fine with that because there are a lot of different factors in if you enjoy something.

So if you want to say I enjoy Fight Club as my favorite movie of all time, or Fight Club is in my top 25 movies ever that's cool, that just what you enjoy. I enjoy Shawshank, I enjoy Fight Club, I enjoy Dark Knight, But if you want to say in the big book of film chapter 14 is going to be Fight Club, I have issues with that. The same way if you asked me to make a list of greatest films of all time I'm not going to have the balls to say 'Big Trouble in Little China' to you even though that's my jam.

It wasn't totally blatant (but opie did tell him people had trouble believing his story, including everyone in the room). They were playing various "liar" drops over him talking and they kept fucking with his headphones to get him to take them off, then ant (I believe) would whisper into the mike "this guy is full of shit." I think opie also was ripping pages from the book in front of him, but I may be mixing that up with another interview.
