Single-game tickets for the 2002 season will be available beginning Sunday, February 17th. Tickets will be available for purchase on mets.com, at Shea Stadium, at the New York Mets Clubhouse Stores and via phone through the Mets Ticket Office. For additional information, please contact the New York Mets' Ticket Department at 718-507-TIXX. Ticket prices for 2002 will remain the same, ranging from $12-$43. For more information about specific ticket locations and how to purchase tickets go to Seating & Pricing.

Ahhh the usual euphoria a Met fan feels at the beginning of a brand new season. They have such high hopes for there team....this usually lasts about a month or so then it becomes "Ugh I can't wait for this season to be over, M ust E nd The S uffering" ;)

i'm nitpicking here, but i hate when major leaguers use that ridiculous uppercut. For years as a child, every coach i ever had told me that its the wrong way to swing. and they're right, I'd rather watch a team get four base hits then one homerun and 3 strikeouts. piatzza has a great, level swing, and he still hits em out. but he also bats .320

Well ivy the differnce between the mets is very simple... MONEY....not every team can throw 128 million dollars to have team for one year.. that is just nuts... and remember it could be worse some people in hear like boston... hahahahahahha

the difference between the mets and yankees payroll last year was a mere 13 million. the yanks ranked, marginally, #1. the red sox and dodgers seperated them from the mets who ranked in at #4. the gap between the two teams this year will not be much different.

As for the payroll shit, that's just ridiculous. I hate that excuse. Money does not win championships, the Rangers alone have proven this! Teamwork wins, and the Mets are not as complete a team. That has nothing to do with money. If you look at some of the key players for the Yankees (like Williams, Jeter, Pettitte etc.) they came up through the system....they were not "bought"

C'mon rooting for the Yankee's is like rooting for the phone company. They're practically a public utility. A faceless corporation. A passionless, self-described "businesslike" group of drones.

The Mets are fiesty underdogs who consistantly amaze and excite their fans. They may not always win but every Mets season is a rollercoaster ride. You can be sure that there are gonna be alot of heartaches but you can also be assured that the Mets will definitely keep you hanging on the edge of your seat.

Thats what im talking about, Nobody likes "Fair Weather Fans" i was as Pissed as anyone when all of a sudden damn near everyone was rocking a MET jersey or T-shirt when we got to the fall classic, but all in all i'ed say there are more BandWagon Yankee fans then Met fans. I think it takes more Heart to be a MET fan.
I agree with ol'boy about the Yanks being like the Phone company & the METS being a more exciting fun squad, I dont dislike the Yankees, just there smug fans. I've had some real good times at Yankee Stadium both reg. season & post, Including the World Series so its not a matter of being bitter at there success, just their fans that think they shit dont stink...

Exactly. Even though we are just as rich as they are, I dont see Yankee Stadium as particuarly fan friendly.

One time I wanted just ICE (it was a very hot day) and they had the fucking nerve to charge me for it!!!

At shea the workers are like family almost. They can actually be friendly sometimes. And *gasp* they smile too!

Am I the only one here that thinks the Mets simply aren't worthy of being a major league team?

I am one of the bigger Mets fans on the planet but I am still not totally "marking out" cuz we still have questions. Age, strikeouts and injuries.
