Dont even joke like that, if Jack Burton was dead I'd have to take the rest of the day off work.

sudden death at the age of 84

can death be "sudden" at 84?
It should have read, "Death slowly stalked him until the age of 84"

Also i never heard of him before.

Two of his better known films were Tommy and Altered Sates but everything he did was unique.
Sometimes it was crazy insane sometimes inspired by Odin

There are many movies I could reccomend but if I were to pick one for you knuckleheads it would be
The Devils

Fuck that. Tell me about Lisztomania. I've always wanted to see it and the clips I've seen are absolutely insane.

And I'm sorry, but I think Tommy sucked. Maybe that's because I'm a Who fan and Kubrick was originally supposed to direct, so I feel cheated.

Or maybe not. I got curious after writing this about where I'd first heard that rumor. Then I found this about the album Who's Next on www.thewho.net:

Front and back cover photography by Ethan A. Russell. [The front cover was shot at a location discovered as The Who drove back from a gig at the Top Rank Suite in Sunderland May 8th, 1971. John and Keith were talking about Stanley Kubrick's film 2001: A Space Odyseey when they spied the blocks used to hold slag heaps together and noticed their resemblance to the alien monoliths in Kubrick's film. Russell said it was Pete's idea for the group to urinate on the "monolith" and that the urine was actually water carried over in film cans. Pete has remarked that it was a dig at Kubrick for refusing to direct the Tommy movie, but he may have been kidding. It could also be said to express the idea of Lifehouse as a sort of dystopian version of 2001: A Space Odyssey but this may be reading far too much into it.

Liztomania and The Devils are two completely different kinds of insane.

The Devils breaks your legs and burns you alive litterally

Liztomania is insanely ridiculous like the /sceen where Daltry rides a 20 foot penis.
