Interestingly, he also was on MASH as Major General Bartford Hamilton Steele before he was Col. Potter.
He also was charged with spousal abuse when he was in his 80s. What a rascal!

I know there aren't many "Don and Mike" fans on here, but Mike O'Meara's impression of Sherman T. Potter was fucking histerical.
RIP Harry.

Let's not forget he was Sgt. Friday's partner too. He had a long career; he started out making Westerns in the early 40's.

Not even slightly. In MASH and Dragnet alone, he had a major roll in 278 episodes of hit television.
He was great in every part he played. I was, however, disappointed to hear from my father, that Morgan abused his wife. Oh, well. Doesn't change his body of work any.

when I read the title to this thread, I can hear Klinger forging the Col's signature, saying, in his horrible impersonation, "Sherman.......T.....Potter...." Didn't work you dirty Toledo tranny. RIP to the Col.

When I saw "Harry Morgan dead" I thought it would be Dexter related.

I remember watching this guy when I was a little kid. I also remember laughing when I heard about this guy beating his wife when he was around 78 or so (at the time) . Really? Come on Cl Potter, you lived a great life despite your boozing.
RIP to the cop and the mash colonel.

Overheard in the office: Did you see what my daughter posted on facebook? "Isn't it wierd he died on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor." That gave me goosebumps just now.
People are fucking retarded.
He had a long career; he started out making Westerns in the early 40's.
He was in The Ox-Bow Incident with Henry Fonda which came out in 1943. One of the best movies ever.
