G.I. Joe Retaliation

Ok, hear me out on this one. The first GI Joe was one of my most hated movies of the last decade. But in this trailer it kind of seems like all the things that made the first one not work are gone and replaced by awesomeness. I'm not holding my breath, but wouldn't it be awesome if a production company actually tried to make a franchise better instead of just churning out shit for cash grabs?

it looks just as bad as the 1st 1. the ninja crap and the sword fight on the side of a mountain looks stupid. this is gi joe not kung fu fighter.

the cast does look better and because bruce willis, the rock and the girl from firday night lights are in this i will probably watch it on dvd but it looks bad.

I couldn't make heads or tails of what was going on but.... one of the women in that movie was so shockingly hot that I couldn't look away. I watched the whole movie without sound. It wasn't Sienna Miller. It was some other chick.... in a smaller role.
If that chick is still on the team... I'll fuckin' pay to see the sequel in the theater. IN THE THEATER!

No it was Rachel Nichols and she looked great in the 1st 1 but i dont think she is in the 2nd. She and Sienna Miller were the only 2 reasons to watch the 1st one. The rest of the cast sucked and so did the movie.

I think throwing two guys who actually have a personality in there helps, and I really like The Rock and Willis. You get Cobra Commander in the classic look, thats a bonus. But I dont think the movie as a whole looks like it's worth it. The trailer is selling it like somehow this is now The Rocks movie, but I dont believe it.

The only people they're bringing back from the first movie is Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. I actually thought their little moment in the movie was the best part of the movie. I don't know how much continuity there is to the first one, since there isn't any Cobra Commander either.

Cobra Commander was shown for a second in the trailer with the metal face plate. But who knows if he'll actually have a prominent role in this sequel. Also, it doesn't look like Destro is in this sequel as well.
