My problem with LOTR is self-inflicted. I bought that Wing-ding DVD collection with maps and other Carny materiel. Had to be at least $90; maybe more. Watched all three, back-to-back in festival form right when I got it. Danced around the extra discs here and there.

Now, with about $2.10 of DVD-Rs, I coulda had the whole saga from Encore or whatever. Think I ever, ever looked over the Middle Earth maps? Nope. Think I could give two hoots about loftier-than-thou commentary, or the hours of Kiwi scenery backing the inner workings of a Jackson set? Nope. All I'm in for is the OG content.
