Crayola makes a box of 96 crayons. They couldn't think of 4 more colors to make it an even 100? They're all slackers over there.

Speaking of numerology, my recent birthday was 02/02/02. Does this mean anything? Are deuces REALLY wild? Enquiring minds want to know.

Should I sit here and look at all the names of the crayons?

Crayola took out some colors a few years back and replaced them with colors with fruity names you'd expect coming out of a mail-order catalog. How a kid is supposed to know what the hell "cerulean" is I don't know.

Now I am doing research and I find a web page that says this:

"In 1993, Binney & Smith introduced sixteen more colors, all named by consumers: Asparagus, Cerise, Denim, Granny Smith Apple, Macaroni and Cheese, Mauvelous, Pacific Blue, Purple Mountain's Majesty, Razzmatazz, Robin's Egg Blue, Shamrock, Tickle Me Pink, Timber Wolf, Tropical Rain Forest, Tumbleweed, and Wisteria."

Razzmatazz?! Macaroni and Cheese?! Ok, this is just proof positive that there are TOO MANY FIRST COUSINS MARRYING IN THIS COUNTRY.

I visited the Crayola factory with the family a few years back. Someone inquired as to why there were only 96 in the box and not 100. She was very puzzled by the question, apparantly not being able to imagine any more colors.

No doubt, it has to do with profit margin, along the same lines of charging $9.99 instead of $10.

On the topic of numerology...There are unquestionably some numbers you should steer clear of. For example try to avoid looking down the barrel of a gun with the number 357 in it's name. Similarly, try not to get involved in situations that require the use of the numbers 9-1-1.

I found many paralells to life in investigating this. Such as:
the color red: europs change to the euro.
the color magenta: comunism in mother russia.

Thats why I'm not stupid... I buy the bonus boxes with 100 (gold, silver, bronz, and something)
God, at least im not stupid.

Hey I had that imfamous... 9.9.99 birthday, GvacNoMore. Does that have any significance?

Who cares really that there are only 96? First it was 8, then 16, 32, 64, 96.... next box, how many crayons?
