I like that they made the punk on the bus into a white guy and cast Danny Trejo as Epic Beard Man. PC it up on one end and unPC it on the other - the universe remains in balance.

But he's the protagonist.

Just because he's a protagonist doesn't make him a good guy. The only reason they didn't leave him as a white guy is because the movie would have then been Falling Down 2.0. They've taken the angry white male which is pretty much PC to stereotype and replaced him with the hotheaded, criminally violent and out of control hispanic.

Everyone knows that blacks in movies should only be playing the president and hispanics should only be sexy ladykillers and CGI cat swashbucklers. Name the last time you saw a movie where the mugger, pursesnatcher or thug riding the bus wasn't played by a white guy.
