I'm with underdog. How can CAUSING someone to have a baby be equated with abortion? I can see how they could say it's not "God's way", but it's not causing a life to cease. It's opposite.

He means fertilized eggs. In order to do invitro, multiple eggs must be fertilized with sperm. In their mind, once an egg is fertilized, it's a human life. These eggs are now embryos. Many are implanted, and one or more result in babies (see Octomom). But there are also many fertilized eggs that never get implanted into a woman's womb. In their minds, if an egg is fertilized and not implanted, it is an abortion.

I can't remember what the end result was (I think it was "against"), but researchers wanted to use fertilized eggs that were left over from the invitro process. The pro life people said, doing so would be using a human life for research, since an embryo (in their beliefe) is a human life.
