I'm not sure if I posted this thread in the past because it's one that I've been thinking about for a while.
It came up again while I was watching " Law Abiding Citizen ".
I know that in the grand scheme the Gerard Butler character was bad but Jaime Foxx's character was so unlikeable and in no way a " good guy ".
I'd have liked to have seen him die at the end.
I thought it would be something w/ his tie at the end when he's going to his kid's school thing.
Earlier in the movie it was mentioned that the Butler character created something to allow them to kill somebody from far away.
That would've been a great ending. Nobody wins.

I wanted him top get away with it at the end. I wish a writer or holly wood in general would have the balls to allow someone who starts out good but then turns evil for revenge win and get away not die doing it. Jamie Fox character was very unlikable and exactly what people hate about lawyers.

Didnt they do that with Hannibal Lecter?
I remember watching Law Abiding Citizen and saying to my wife "This guy is just ruthlessly killing EVERYBODY and Im over here praying he gets away."

I really liked "Red Belt" a lot until the last 10 minutes, which I feel made SUCH a horrid ending that I think it ruins the rest of the movie. Kinda like seeing a beautiful girl and then finding out she once slept with a.... geriatric man.

THE TRUMAN SHOW.
I wish the entire movie was done in such a way that WE -the audience- didn't know anything that Truman himself didn't know. I would have preferred it if we learned about "The Truman Show" at the same moment that Truman did at the end of the movie.
The Matrix TRILOGY should have ended with "The Matrix."
