What strange movie this was.
The tone was all over the place. Almost schizo! Nic Cage was playing it for laughs one instant... then he'd be an evil maniac a moment later. It was bizarre to say the least.

There were a few moments where the crowd was laughing at scenes & performances that, clearly, were not intended to be comedic.

Interestingly... the movie is a sequel that has nothing to do with the first film. It's a complete reboot. Different origin. Different history. Different themes. Different hairpiece. Different EVERYTHING... except that Nic Cage is once again playing the same character.

The Ghost Rider effects were well done though. It didn't look REAL... but it definitely looked cool as hell.

Catch it on HBO. It's worth it. If for no other reason than to see the scene where Nic Cage is trying to hold in the spirit of the rider while he's interrogating a bad guy.

I like Cage and will watch this movie. I watch a lot of TV, no movie has had me wanting to watch it going back to Cowboys and Aliens last year. And goes a few years back before that most likely.
