Funny how the golf courses have trees that fall every year but the one damn tree that is placed in the fairway that always collects my draw, has withstood tornados hurricanes and floods.

Hunger Games is going to be so huge, and they're heavy on advertising, why would they kiss your ass like a documentary with no promotion budget? They kindof are doing you a favor letting you see it early, it's going to make a mint regardless.
remember when Louis CK got on Ron for saying that he only notices people drinking tomato juice on airplanes?
well someone in Ron's twitterverse should send him this "face" article...
Beyond Mile-High Grub: Can Airline Food Be Tasty? (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/11/business/airlines-studying-the-science-of-better-in-flight-meals.html)
in the article is the following science of airline food and why people drink tomato juice...
Even before a plane takes off, the atmosphere inside the cabin dries out the nose. As the plane ascends, the change in air pressure numbs about a third of the taste buds. And as the plane reaches a cruising altitude of 35,000 feet, cabin humidity levels are kept low by design, to reduce the risk of fuselage corrosion. Soon, the nose no longer knows. Taste buds are M.I.A. Cotton mouth sets in.
All of which helps explain why, for instance, a lot of tomato juice is consumed on airliners: it tastes far less acidic up in the air than it does down on the ground. It also helps explain why airlines tend to salt and spice food heavily and serve wines that are full-bodied fruit bombs. Without all that extra kick, the food would taste bland. Above the Atlantic, even a decent light Chablis would taste like lemon juice.
“Subtlety is not well served at altitude,” says Andrea Robinson, a sommelier who has selected wines for Delta Air Lines since 2008.

One of the big objections I have over media hubs is the attitude that you could only do this list about new york because it's the only city people have written that many songs about. Ignoring the fact that the New York music industry buys new york songs and new york bands, so if you want to write a song about anywhere else you're already at a disadvantage. But people take that as evidence that New York is the place your write about, and perpetuate the creativity limiting cycle.
alrighty then...hearing the #1 New York song for my first time

But I have to agree with Rich. In terms of culture, each New York song is different because of the wide variety of culture. These songs rarely repeat themselves with lyrics and images in the song.

It's the center of people who think it's the center of culture, but that's about as much as I'm willing to give you. The fact that the business makes New York the most vital market in the world is another thing, but that's marketing. The buildings are there so if you want the best change of getting paid thats where you have to go, it doesn't make it culturally more viable. At best New York is like a big AL team, buys in a lot of talent instead of a good farm system.
And I'm sure the Drive By Truckers get a real warm reception with the new york types. They dont get called rubes at all.
Be into New York, thats cool. I'm saying it's as exactly cool as being into Philly, Bugtussle, Gainesville, Minneapolis, New Brunswick, Oakland or wherever. Exactly the same thing.

If you called up the show and suggested a Drive By Truckers song, or Time Out magazine doing a list about quality popular music. Thats who I mean saying NY types, vocal fans of NY.
People come from all over the world in most major cities. When people are born and raised in New York, take for example Blowhards phone persona (and I'm saying that knowing I dont know him so dont extend that to him personally, but either the people he is parodying or the guy he really is when he calls the show) and they talk a lot of New York stuff, only have New York points of view, think that point of view extends to the rest of the country, you have to cop to the fact that it's as isolationist as a guy who was born in South Philly and vows to die there and doesn't want to know anything about anywhere else. It doesn't matter that there's an ethiopian restaurant in his neighborhood and he gives his rent check to a serbian, it's a small town mentality that gets sold as worldly because he looks at more immigrants walking through his neighborhood than the average person.

There was a raverporn website, too.
Raverporn, thats what it was called. I think that was the first thing I ever subscribed to with the money from my afterschool job.
I think Effmeboobs was the first female moderator here.
I would have guessed the gal fez walked down the aisle, but it was before my time.
I think Fuzzybutt replaced her.

Redskins have made bigger gambles in the past, and lost...they have three superbowls with no star quarterback (different one for each)
just need to make superstars out of the good players they have now...don't cost money to do that, so Snyder is helpless
Grossman and Beck aint no superstars - once we get a true QB, I will agree with the other positions.

So they're coming back with the old news about meatspin?
are they still saying it went down, even though it hasn't?

Can he start next year?
Why not? Cam Newton did it and I will give them next year to get him some experience without worrying if they make the playoffs..
Going 7-9 each year just lets you down with the current QB's

You have another guy who is almost as bad, but seems to have some original thought. Bobby always seems to just be ok with whatever is republican. He was defending Herman Cain and Sarah Palin, for fucks sake.
And I never let him forget that.

It doesn't even take much research. All you need to do is go to the site for confirmation.

Yeah, but if I read it somewhere I wouldn't research it either. It's not like they're CNN.
