Holy shit, Riot Fest chicago is a monster this year:
Iggy and the Stooges, Descendents, Elvis Costello, Gwar, Fishbone, Screaming Females, NOFX, Alk3, Gogol Bordello, Less Than Jake, BUilt to Spill, Rev. Horton Heat, Nobunny, teenage bottle rocket with more to be announced and more bands that I dont like.

Plus they usually get Naked Raygun, and I'll bet they get Refused.

So, there should never be a cowboy or cop movie, because they've been done already. And we should never have a movie where people talk, becuse most movies I've seen have had people talking. Hacks!

Everyday Sunshine is a great documentary on Fishbone on Netflix streaming right now. For us children of the late-80's/early 90's, it's a fun trip back. And it's got a lot current stuff as well.

Ron is so full of shit, he absolutely thinks he's an intellectual. And the worst kind of intellectual, he thinks he's an everyman intellectual.

And he says this is fodder, bland, substanceless shit and he cant understand why anyone is enjoying it, but no he isn't attacking the audience he'd never do that.

And every comic book reader I know loved Avengers, and they will absolutely see a bump in comic sales based off of something like this. Ron is talking out of his ass about an industry he knows nothing about and cares nothing about.

So, Ron loves the last waltz, but there's no reason too. We've seen all those people sing before. Them singing together is no big deal.

Interesting but I dont think Ron would ever do it. Not because he doesn't want to be challenged, but I think it's just so in him to be a host that all of his effort is to set up the guest and their views. Even if the express goal was to have a debate over The Avengers he would never attack it and be attacked with someone like Kevin Smith.

Noone ever has and noone ever will. And it's a lie to pretend that the world was one way until we passed a technological threshhold and then everything changed. Everything has always been changing and will always be changing. People are afraid to become obsolete and die, that's what these conversations are always really about.

The NFL should partner with some major insurance provider to make certain all former players and their families have unrestricted lifetime health insurance.

They should also reduce padding. The statistics on padding and other protective equipment tend to explain that more padding leads players to take more stupid physical risks. The best example of this is in soccer. Players who wear Nike 90 shinguards tend to get more injuries than those who wear basic tape-on shinguards. A similar study would prove similar issues with current football gear.

That is why the mid-90s toughman competitions required the participants to wear THICK gloves. The good thing is that head injuries would, ultimately, be rare but cervical damage before much, much more likely.

The NFL should switch to Cyberball. Explosions on fourth down non-conversions. Robot players.

This weekend I learned that robot boxing came about because we had a desire for hard hitting action that was more brutal than humans were willing to risk themselves.

Cant really tell you how that story ended because it was too terrible to finish, even when you rented it to see how bad it was.

Quiznos looks appealing in their ads, but I've gone like 3 times ever and was wildly disappointed each time.

Could we collectively agree to stop quoting George Carlin's ”pussification of America” for any reason?

Why is not wanting to have a national legacy of major head injuries in the NFL pussy?

I know they are talking football, not golf...but with all the alligators we saw in DelV's hometown last month, we instituted a "free drop" rule if your ball was within 50 yards of a gator

I would have never done this...

Ah, I've never been good at minor characters like that. Like the deaf musician; no clue his name. I sorry. :(

That is why the mid-90s toughman competitions required the participants to wear THICK gloves. The good thing is that head injuries would, ultimately, be rare but cervical damage before much, much more likely.

Cervical?

Actually looking it up it relates to either the neck or the cervix.
