he was on HIP (which was great), but then my mother changed jobs and is now on UMR (i think). they are really doing everything in their power to deny him medical procedures and drain what little he gets from his SSD. they kept denying him procedures for months. it really almost killed him. he was finally hospitalized and they did the EXACT same shit the doctors were asking to do for months. he was in there for 10 days when it could have been handled months ago and been an outpatient procedure.

He had the munchies.

I remember, in the news sludge that followed the face-eating incident, that someone was blaming the guy giving up marijuana on unleashing his mad insane rage. Guess what hemp advocates? Marijuana isn't a universal tranquilizer. It never was.

Personal anecdote: My buddy's brother kicked his three-year-old son out the front window of his home in a moment of extreme rage while smoking regular marijuana. Marijuana is not the cure for rage.

A year or so ago, Ron was openly complaining that some people walked up the escalator while his parents were standing comfortably on a couple of the steps. With the exception of the US, EVERY OTHER COUNTRY obeys the stand on one side, walk on the other side rule. From an international perspective, this is common sense. We Americans seem much more comfortable standing and taking up amazing amounts of space.

Shane Victorino was standing on second and used his knee to subtly deflect a ball bouncing past him, that was pretty funny.

And Chase took a really crucial base after a hit by pitch that never was in the NLDS against the Rockies.

In my most snobbishly snobishness I would say that the arcade fire is a real training wheels band. People who dont normally listen to any kind of 'indie' music have an entre into that world, which is as advertised as any indie band has even been but you can still feel like you're stumbling across something.

I dont have any hate for anyone who likes Arcade Fire, but it usually doesn't line our tastes up and you are more likely to have a shallow pool of music going on. Again, your pool may be super deep, but you have a much better chance of it being super shallow.

They're worried it will cost them higher taxes, they're worried that people who do not need to will sponge off the system (sup, Ayn Rand), they object to being required to do anything new by the government, and they're resentful of the do nothings being nany stated.

So there's this Canadian band called Pantychrist and the lead singer got picked up for murder of this antiques dealer. The courts wound up charging and convicting her of robbery because she set up the antique dealer to be robbed by the two guys that killed him. She's serving another 2 years before she gets out, and the band is putting out statements about how she's still the singer of their band and they're still a band etc. Seems like if you're singer was so entangled in such shitty activity you'd lay low for a few years.

Roger Ebert gave Ted 3 and a half stars. Read the review. Love "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show." Noticed that Ted and his human owner are fans of "Flash Gordon."

I am so f-ing there.

"Flash Gordon" is my "Star Wars."

I was bummed when Big Kevin had Sam Jones and Melody Anderson on a show and they mentioned that Fox made them sign up for a 6 picture deal that never happened. They could've made 6 "Flash Gordon" movies like the Dino De Lorentus movie from 1980 and they didn't? Ruined my childhood.

Well, that certainly stinks. So, who benefits from that? Isn't it an added expense for the poor, previously uninsured folks?

This is my worry. (Sorry, responding to posts on sailor time.)

Who benefits from that? Insurance companies, mostly.

It is going to be an added expense for everybody, either by compelling people to buy something they previously weren't paying for, or by higher premiums for people who do already have insurance.

This is the only way the for-profit insurance corporations, and their lobbyists, would allow for the provisions to expand coverage to people who previously were considered uninsurable.

I'd only slightly argue that they will try to score one if they think they are the superior side.
Either way, it is frustrating to watch whether you're rooting for or against them.
