Unrelated, I was watching HBO sports. There's this girl who was born with no legs, her parents abandon her when she's 1 day old. A kindly older couple who always wanted a daughter adopt her and teach her she can do anything she wants. The legless little girl idolizes this gymnast who won gold in Atlanta. The legless girl becomes the state champion gymnast of Illinios, not for handicapped people, but for everyone. The legless little girl fantasizes that the gymnast is her sister, they're both small, they're both Romanian, they kindof look alike. The girl's mom sees the gymnasts parents on TV, recognizes the names, goes and looks at the adoption papers where the names are supposed to be blacked out but arent. The legless girl turns out to really be her gymnast idol's little sister that she never knew about, and the father made the mother abandon because he was crazy and driven about his oldest daughter being an olympian.

My philosphy on spoilers is I dont really care if someone spoils a plot point. Like oh it's so cool Bane does this but then Batman does this and in the end this happens. Because if you pay attention to stories enough you know the very limited places they're going to go.


What really drives me crazy is when someone, and I find that Gbaby is prone to this, blows a surprise like "oh they play this character like he's got serious dad issues." or 'she gives this really sly look and then has a really funning quip which is this...." The little things that give a story all of it's texture that people think aren't a big deal to spoil because they arent plot points. That shit drives me nuts.

And also when someone wants to throw out a snottily judgemental review. Like the other day he said 'My friend saw it and said it will fulfill all of your expectations but not exceed them." What a fucking shitty thing to say, what a passive aggressive judgemental idea that the movie is someone lacking by not exceeding. And it wasn't even his thought, it was his buddies.

when we first built our houses, the men would handout candy on Halloween from the driveways to keep the children off the fall lawn work...this turned into an annual drinking excuse for about five of us

as happens when gathering to drink, we would get into the "what would you do" scenarios because it made us talk...one of the what would you do was "if you knew you were going to die in 30 days"

the quietest and most withdrawn of all of us introverts had us howl when he answered..."I'd tell the doctor to not worry about burying my dick because I'm going to wear it off"

That was over 10 years ago and I still laugh when I remember it...
