Two things I realized in the .net hiatus. First, The Usual Suspects is essentially a Clue remake. Second, Demolition and Legion of Doom were two seperate entities which I have totally forgotten. Demolition is way better.

I couldn't get on the board during the show but wanted to comment for posterity that today might have been the most extreme example of "cold hatred " that Ron has showed for Fez in recent memory. I was one of the listeners who sent Ron an email telling him Fez was breaking the law by admitting (or claiming at least) that he passed money to someone else to donate to Obama, but even before that Ron was straight out cutting him off at the ankles.

I don't know what Fez did this time but it must have been pretty bad...

you listened today so you know that Fez went almost 2 hours without speaking at one point, he's supposed to be getting better and was not supposed to come back from the nutt hutt this time until he was. I don't know how Ron stays as calm as he does.

All true, but Fez not talking, or only talking in cliches, is the new normal for the show. Ron's whole passive aggressive bit about quitting their FF league at the start of the show, aggressively cutting Fez off whenever he did pipe up during the non-interview parts in the middle then using the listeners' comments as a cudgel to beat on him during the last part ("The only thing I can say in his defense is that everything Fez says on this show is a lie.") was as filled with disdain and comtempt as anything I can remember without Ron actually blowing up into Furious Guy.

I duuno if it was prompted by Fez's accumulation of Fail over the years or some fresh new injury/insult but if he has any off-air self awareness left he ought to be talking to his financial adviser about plans for a potential significant reduction in cash inflow in the near future.

I think Ron has been more than fair and patient with his old friend, but I think he's done. Fez has an illness that renders him unable to do his job, like anybody else in this world he needs to find a treatment that works, but until he does there's no reason to allow him to come to work and draw a paycheck while he's incapacitated. Until a line is drawn and he is forced to work hard at a recovery and no longer paid for nothing, he will stay the same, a humorless old woman bitching about every little thing that offends her.

given the love I have for Fez, I have a hard time accepting this...but, I agree

there was nothing funnier than Fez at WJFK, but the Fez today is just angry and not that funny...I want him to get well, but I now fear it will never happen

I wish (and often propose) that this is just the latest of their well played "works"...I don't think they would let it play this long
